One of the 40935 reasons I love Disney Cruise Line so much is that it gives us parents a chance to enjoy vacation, too.
Let me tell you...Even though we’re only 1 full week into the school year and the crazy sports schedules, I know we’re all feeling a little extra tired from ALL THE THINGS. It’s reeeeeallly something special to have a few days where nobody is asking what’s for dinner, you’re not cutting up bites for little ones, you’re not cleaning up after everyone, you’re not grocery shopping, you’re not trying to keep the kids entertained... the list goes on.
You just get to BE.
You watch your kids sprint off to the kids club and beg to go back later. You sit by the pool with a drink. You treat yourself to (included!) room service breakfast on your balcony. Family members of every age all have endless activity options, whether it’s a port day or sea day. You and your spouse enjoy some adults-only time in one of the many themed lounges knowing the kids are having the time of their life. You all meet back up for dinner where you get to hang out with your amazing servers who have quickly become new BFFs (they stay with you every night... they become family!). You end the evening with a dance party on the top deck.
You stay up too late. Everyone eats ice cream at an unreasonable hour. You all dress up like pirates together (ARRRR)! You take late-night walks around the top deck with the ocean all around you. You are present for the kind of random little moments that turn into core memories.
You wake up somewhere new and you’re not lugging coolers of sandwiches to the beach. You’re not sweeping up the sand. You’re on vacation, too.
