Most of what we’ve learned in our lives, that is important, we’ve learned through our traveling. We’ve learned that everyone you will ever meet has a life that you don’t know anything about. We’ve learned to try to be more compassionate and understanding of others’ views, and circumstances. We’ve also learned that a four-year-old tantrum looks the same in any language or country! Lol.

Yes! This right here! One thing we always strive to do as we travel is to understand a little bit about the area and culture we are visiting. When we can, we also try to learn a few basic phrases that allow us to be friendly and show gratitude to the local people.

Being able to show respect and gratitude to those we come in contact with, has enriched our travel experiences! When walking through the Medina in Tangier, or a small fishing village in Mexico, or even the crowded streets of Tokyo, we want to be welcomed, and the best way we’ve found to do that is to follow some of the simple suggestions listed here.
