Letās talk about Royalton Hideaway Blue Watersā¦
This is one of my favorite adults-only resorts in Jamaica.
After closing following last yearās hurricane, the resort is officially reopening with refreshed accommodations and updated public spaces. From the room photos Royalton has shared, I have to say⦠the new aesthetic is even better than the previous rebrand. It feels brighter, cleaner, and much more elevated.
What I love about this resort:
The spa. Easily a 10/10. If youāre someone who loves a good massage or wants a true vacation reset, donāt skip it.
You have access to the amenities at Royalton Blue Waters, so youāre getting the best of both worlds. You can enjoy the quieter adults-only Hideaway section while still having access to additional restaurants, pools, and activities throughout the neighboring resort.
The beach is beautiful. Calm water, plenty of space to relax, and perfect for long beach days.
I also love that the resort attracts a more mature crowd. Itās ideal for couples, girlsā trips, birthdays, anniversaries, or anyone looking to unwind without feeling like theyāre at a spring break destination.
The Cons:
If youāre looking for an all-day, all-night party resort, this probably isnāt it.
Youāll definitely find a fun atmosphere at the swim-up bar, but overall the vibe is much more relaxed than resorts like Breathless or Royalton CHIC. Think cocktails, conversations, and live music instead of nonstop parties.
The evening entertainment on the family side wasnāt particularly memorable during my stay. Full transparency⦠I tend to call it a night early, so I didnāt experience every show, but nothing really stood out enough to keep me out late.
The good news is that if youāre craving nightlife, Montego Bayās clubs are only about 25 minutes away. We grabbed a taxi one evening and had an amazing night out before coming back to enjoy the peace and quiet of the resort.
My Final Thoughts:
If youāre looking for a relaxing adults-only resort with a beautiful beach, solid dining options, a great spa, and an overall laid-back atmosphere, Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters deserves a spot on your list.
Iām especially excited to see how the refreshed rooms and updates enhance the guest experience once the resort reopens. Iāll definitely be keeping an eye on the first round of guest reviews.
