Door County is emerging from its winter slumber, welcoming the onset of spring. The woodlands are being adorned with budding wildflowers, trees are regaining their vibrancy, and birds are flocking back to our feeders. Businesses that were temporarily closed for the winter are now reopening, and soon the streets will be filled with visitors.
May brings back many events and farmers markets to our area. We hope everyone has a happy spring!

This home is near to everything; minutes to Sister Bay, Ellison Bay and Bailey's Harbor. Short ride to Egg Harbor, Fish Creek and Sturgeon Bay.

Situated in a rural location, this vacation home is within 3 mi (5 km) of Francis Hardy Gallery, Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf, and Bay Ridge Golf Course. Eagle Harbor and Frykman Studio Gallery are also within 3 mi (5 km).

Unfortunately Mother Nature played an April Fool joke on it. Is it really April? We hope it's just a minor hiccup and spring will show it's beauty soon. In the meantime, Door County is not letting the weather put a damper on activities. Here's what's happening this month.

The rental season is heating up and we're pretty booked up for June, July and August although there are some dates still available. Also April and May are wide open; the weather is getting nicer and that's a great time to visit before the hustle and bustle of the summer visitors. In Door County we have had some beautiful fall days with lots of sunshine and other days it's been colder with rain. It may be hard to predict the weather, but one thing you can be sure of is regardless of the weather there is still plenty to do and plenty to see in Door County. One of the best things to see in Door County is the changing trees. Here is a listing to help you identify the many beautiful trees you may see as you travel through Door County!
Oaks=red, brown, or russet
Hickories= golden bronze
Dogwoods=purple red
Birches= bright yellow
Poplars= golden yellow
Sugar maples= orange red
Black maples= glowing yellow
