Huge congrats to for his club championship win

When Brandon first started working with his AXIUS Coach he had been battling constant back pain. He’d tried many other programs and fixes but nothing gave him relief.

Just a few months into his program he’s eliminated his pain and picked up significant speed!

“The AXIUS program has given me even more confidence in my game. I went from battling constant back pain and swinging conservatively to swinging pain-free and with confidence. My cruising driver swing speed jumped from 107 mph to 114 mph, and I’ve even hit 120 mph when I need that extra gear. Im now able to play freer and trust my body more than ever.”

One of the key physical differences between professional and amateur golfers is their ability to create separation between the upper and lower body.

This concept, known as the “X-factor,” refers to the increased shoulder and pelvic separation at the start of the downswing. It happens when the hips rotate towards the target while the shoulders remain stable.

Tiger Woods explains it best:

“To generate power in the golf swing, you have to create a coil between your upper and lower body. Your lower body needs to stabilize while your upper body rotates against it. That’s how you create the torque that translates into speed and distance.”

So, what allows elite players to create this kind of separation?

Many think it’s all about flexibility. While that’s part of it, as Tiger points out, stability in the lower body is key. You need that stable base to anchor your body and generate the necessary stretch for more power.

How do you build that stability? It’s all about strengthening and activating your core!

Most people think their core is just their abs, and they focus on static exercises like planks. But your core’s real job is to stabilize your body during movement. To unlock your full potential, you need dynamic exercises that challenge your core to keep your body stable while moving.

Here’s the exciting part…

Speed is easy, but real power? That’s all about your core.

In this week’s blog, I’ll teach you how to train the same pelvic tuck Rory uses in his swing. The exercise progression is the Hip Arch and Tuck, a cornerstone of the AXIUS program. Mastering this move will not only help you generate effortless power but also unlock the full potential of your core strength.

STRETCHING AND THE GOLF SWING ⛳️❓

Many golfers DO need more flexibility in their golf swing. BUT for most, stretching without anchoring your body is just a waste of time. 🚫

You should be after more separation! 💥

When golfers lack flexibility, they often “swing on block,” meaning they can’t create the separation needed between their upper and lower body.

Instead of moving efficiently, they start compensating by “stealing” mobility from the wrong areas, which leads to inefficient swings, tightness, and a higher risk of injury. ⚠️

This limitation in range of motion also drastically affects your ability to generate speed and power, which becomes even more noticeable as golfers age. 🏌️‍♂️💨

The key is learning how to stretch correctly by engaging your core stabalizing muscles to “anchor” your body before starting the stretch. 🧘‍♂️

This activation helps ensure your muscles lengthen properly within a full range of motion, preventing compensation and enabling you to improve flexibility where it matters most. 💪

If you’d like a free core-activated flexibility routine that will actually increase your separation and improve your swing, comment CORE below! 👇

You probably know lower body strength is important in your golf swing.

But do you know the one muscle that should be prioritized in terms of exercise?

Your gluteus maximus (glutes or your butt muscles).

Here’s what strong glutes do in your swing:
- Power: fires your hips through during your downswing
- Balance: stabilizes your backswing and downswing, helping to eliminate lateral tendencies like sway and slide
- Posture: help maintain your spine angle, improving consistency
- Separation: help separate your lower body from your upper body, creating more rotation in your swing
Many people think in order to train your glutes you have to start lifting heavy weights, but in fact, exactly the opposite is true!

This glute bridge exercise is one of the best ways to learn to maximally engage and strengthen your glutes.

The key to MAXIMAL GLUTEUS MAXIMUS engagement (see what I did there?) during a bridge is to activate your core at the same time!

Here’s how:

1) First “tuck your hips” , flattening your lower back against the floor. This activates your core…

2) Then drive your hips up towards the ceiling by pressing into your heels and hold for 3 seconds, then slowly lower, keeping your hips tucked throughout!

Perform 3 sets of 8 reps and repeat this every other day.

Starting with this exercise will help, but it’s only one step in the right direction to lasting improvement in your swing! The good news is, we are here to help you figure out exactly what your golf body needs so you get results fast - like more distance and consistency with less pain!

Looking for a sustainable way to add speed and distance to your swing? Stop chasing speed and start focusing on your balance and flexibility…

2x NBA Champion took on our Swing Speed challenge, completing 3 AXIUS workouts per week for 6 weeks:

“I’m always seeking an edge in my golf game. I’ve gotten results from speed training before, but I’ve never done a workout like AXIUS, so I was a little skeptical that working on my core strength and mobility would produce speed gains, but with AXIUS, my swing speed jumped from 113 to over 120 mph! AND my ball striking is more consistent, thanks to better body mechanics!

Some wonder if these gains are just for beginners. The answer is a firm NO. Shane is clearly a top-tier athlete, and gained 7 mph showing what’s possible when you focus on the right areas.

You see, specific joints in our body need to be mobile while others need to be more stable.

Our program is 100% customized for each of our golfers to provide stability and mobility exactly where your body needs it most!

And we’ve built an amazing full-body workout that evolves with you:

“What I love about AXIUS is it’s like they’ve figured out how to make your vegetables taste good! I’ve built core stability, increased hip mobility, and seen real results—all while getting a great workout.”

Shane’s journey began with a Titleist Performance Swing assessment with his dedicated AXIUS coach, pinpointing areas needing attention. Within weeks, his swing speed soared by 7 MPH, placing him in the top 5% of golfers.

If you want more turn in your swing, here’s something you have to know…

A lack of flexibility in the Latissimus Dorsi (commonly referred to as “the lat”) is the #1 physical restrictor of turn in the back swing.

The lat muscle connects your upper arm to your back and pelvis effectively linking your shoulders and hips during rotation in the golf swing.

When the lat muscle is tight, it will limit your ability to make a full upper body turn.

If you bend your trail arm at the top of your backswing, come over the top, or early extend, there’s a good chance tight lats are part of the problem!

Here’s a simple way to assess if your lats are restricting your swing:

1. Stand against a wall with your heels, butt, and shoulders touching the wall. Brace your abs by pulling your belly button to your spine, flattening your lower back against the wall.
2. Raise your arm over head until your thumb touches the wall, without arching your lower back OR bending your elbow
3. Repeat with the other arm.

If you can’t touch the wall with your thumb, your elbows break, or your back arches - you have tight lats that are restricting your swing.

Start improving your lat length by practicing the above movement, only going to your end range of motion. Perform 3 sets of 10 reps every other day. You should notice improvements in your swing in 1-2 weeks.

While this stretch will help, short lats are just one of the many parts of the body that is likely hindering your swing. The good news is, we are here to help!

My name is Brian Doyle and I’m the Founder and CEO of AXIUS Core. During my career as a pro athlete, I had to recover from several serious injuries and learned firsthand how important core strength, joint mobility, and balance are for performance AND longevity.

But I had a team of doctors, physical therapists and strength coaches help identify my body’s imbalances, provide me with corrective exercises, and make sure I was performing them correctly so that I’d get the best outcome.

After my career, I became obsessed with making this process convenient and affordable for anyone.

Over the last 2 years we’ve helped 500 golfers complete over 14,000 workouts resulting in lower scores, and more enjoyable golf.

We set you up with everything you need to improve:
