Sunny Brook Maple Bill and Donna Irish Maple sugaring is often rooted in rich family history and tradition, and Sunny Brook Maple is no exception.

We are third-generation sugarmakers who have been hand-crafting our uniquely flavorful syrup since 1982 in rural Vermont. We began by simply selling to neighbors, friends, and friends of friends, who graciously spread the word and allowed us to build a loyal customer base. In 2004, we were grateful to be accepted into the Burlington Farmers Market, where we have continued to provide our wonderful customers and friends with our pure maple syrup, hand-made maple products and maple baked goods. This market has been the sweetest experience for us, and our hope is that we can continue to share that sweetness with you :)

We’re saddened by the passing of Robert Resnik - musician, storyteller, and longtime friend of the market.

Back when we were in City Hall Park, Robert would walk through nearly every Saturday morning, playing his button accordion as vendors set up. Quiet, kind, and humble, his music brought calm and joy to those early hours.

He never asked for attention; just shared his spirit and music. Many in Vermont’s folk and music communities are feeling this loss deeply.

Thank you, Robert. You made the market, and Vermont, a more beautiful place. We’ll miss you.
