What is the ETA?
The ETA is a new digital travel document designed to make entering the UK more secure and efficient. It’s an online application linked to your passport, allowing multiple UK visits over two years or until your passport expires

When to Apply
For Non-European Travelers (like U.S. and Canadian citizens): You can start applying now. The ETA requirement begins January 8, 2025, for non-European travelers.
For European Travelers: The ETA requirement begins April 2, 2025, and applications will open on March 5, 2025, for European Travelers.

How Much Does it Cost?
The ETA costs £10 (about $13) per application.

How to Apply
You’ll apply online or through the UK ETA app. Here’s what you’ll need:
Your passport.
A recent photo.
A device with a camera for verification (if required).

Approval Timeline
Most ETAs are approved within 72 hours, so it’s important to apply early to avoid delays.

Day 3: Morocco - Atlas Mountains Adventure – A Day in the Berber Villages
Highlights:
• Day trip to the Atlas Mountains

• A stop at the Tnine Ourika Village Market and lunch at Kasbah Bab Ourika
Travel Tip: If you can, book a guided excursion for this day trip. The Atlas Mountains are a bit of a distance from Marrakech, but with a knowledgeable guide, you’ll learn so much more about the area’s culture and history. A private tour can also give you the flexibility to explore at your own pace.
The Atlas Mountains offered a refreshing escape from the city heat. I trekked through Berber villages, marveling at the stunning landscapes. The people are incredibly friendly, and sharing a traditional breakfast with a local family was one of the highlights of my trip. Be sure to pack sunscreen and a hat, as it can get quite hot during the day.

Hi, are you aware that on May 7, 2025, the REAL ID Act, passed by Congress in 2005, will go into effect? The REAL ID Act requires all states to adhere to minimum security standards in order to make all IDs more consistent and secure. Starting in May 2025, everyone will need a REAL ID to access the following places:

Certain federal facilities
Airports: Boarding federally regulated commercial aircraft
What is a REAL ID?
REAL ID-compliant cards will have of one of the following markings on the upper top portion of the card. If the card does not have one of these markings, it is not REAL ID-compliant and won’t be accepted as proof of identity to board commercial aircraft.

When do I need to get a REAL ID? Beginning May 7, 2025, you will need have a REAL ID-compliant license or another acceptable form of ID, such as a valid passport or U.S. military ID, to fly within the U.S.
