The owners, Adam and Maria Luisa Carter, stared the company in response to the needs of many long-time clients who wanted the "Brazil Nuts" experience (destination expertise, high level of clien
t service and dedicated professionalism) in their tour programs to other destinations. Having recently traveled the globe on an extended sabbatical, where they visited many countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America, the Carters knew the time was right to expand: expertise had been developed, and excellent partnerships had been established with key receptive operators in many exotic destinations.
