Every third weekend in October, Louisville Historic Tours suspends its evening haunted tours to assist the South Fourth Street Association in its production of "David Dominé's" Victorian Ghost Walk®. Often described as a "porch and parlor" play, this is a more elaborate ghost tour that brings together a wide variety of local talent to create a spectacle of outdoor theater celebrating the ghostly past of "America's Most Haunted Neighborhood." Instead of guides telling the ghost stories, characters in Victorian attire come to life along the gas-lit walkways and in various Old Louisville mansions so they can tell the stories themselves on this tour. Each of the three nights, there are 12-13 groups of 35 participants that depart from the Conrad-Conrad House Museum every 15 minutes. From 2004-2008, the Victorian Ghost Walk® raised funds for the West St. Catherine Street Neighborhood Association; after this organization ceased its involvement and declined the offer of total proprietorship, David Dominé assumed sole ownership, revived the event, and, with the assistance of director Ronald Lew Harris, gave it its current format. For several years, David then partnered with the Old Louisville Chamber of Commerce to put on the event; when that organization became defunct, the Old Louisville Neighborhood Council under the leadership of Howard Rosenberg approached David and asked him to partner with that organization to stage the event, as well as conduct his general tours from the Visitors Center in Central Park. In 2015, however, David denied the Old Louisville Neighborhood Council performance rights after ghost walk committee members Chazz Petersen and Daniel Gatlin claimed that David was not the owner of the Victorian Ghost Walk®, which is based on the research and writings of David Dominé and is protected by federal copyright laws. As a result, David ceased collaboration with the Old Louisville Neighborhood Council and the Old Louisville Information Center, eventually branching out on his own. In 2015 and 2016, the Old Louisville Neighborhood Council staged an unsuccessful rival event, the "Old Louisville Victorian Tales of Terror." In 2017, after that production folded, David produced the ghost walk on his own; in 2019, he agreed to partner with the South Fourth Street Association and, for the foreseeable future, he and Louisville Historic Tours anticipate the South Fourth Street Association being the permanent beneficiary of the Victorian Ghost Walk®.

2023 marked the 15th year of the Victorian Ghost Walk®.
