It was amazing to explore Impression Moxché by Secrets Impression Moxché by Secrets! Here is my takeaway on this AAA Five Diamond, ultra-luxury resort-within-a-resort: 

🥂 The Vibe: Next-level luxury, sophisticated, and modern chic. It feels exclusive and serene, featuring elevated design elements like wood accents, stone finishings, and lush greenery everywhere. 

🛎️ The Service: Truly top-tier. Personalized butler service takes care of every detail—from unpacking and setting up hydrotherapy appointments to tailoring daily schedules. 

🏊 Pools & Rooftops: Unmatched pool game! Between Impression’s exclusive rooftop infinity pools with 360-degree views and full access to Secrets Moxché next door, you have access to over a dozen pools—including man-made cenote pools! 

🍷 Food & Fine Dining: 14+ total dining venues available. Beyond the exclusive Impression rooftop spots, Teodoro offers an incredible 7-course fine dining tasting menu. 

🏖️ The Beach: Located just minutes north of Playa del Carmen, the resort features an upscale private beach club area. The beach area is quieter and more private than central Playa del Carmen spots.

I only got to spend a few hours exploring Dreams Playa Mujeres Dreams Playa Mujeres but here is my takeaway on this mega-popular, high-end family resort:

🏖️ The Beach & Water: Located in the gated, upscale community of Playa Mujeres, the beach features calm, shallow, turquoise water and pristine white sand that stays practically seaweed-free! 

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 The Vibe: Energetic, luxurious, and family-focused. It has the rare ability to entertain toddlers, hard-to-please teenagers, and adults equally without feeling chaotic.

💦 Pools & Waterpark: Features over 65,000 sq. ft. of pools, an on-site waterpark with dual slides, a mini-splash park for toddlers, and an exclusive lazy river for Preferred Club guests. 

🍔 Food & Drinks: Excellent all-inclusive variety across 10 dining spots. Favorite among guests include Fusion which is Teppanyaki, the poolside taco/burger spot Tides, and Dolce for late-night ice cream and coffee! 

⭐ The Service: Outstanding hospitality. The Explorer’s Club (ages 3–12) and Core Zone (ages 13–17) are top-notch, giving parents actual adult downtime.

I spent the last two days of my trip exploring Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres! Here is my takeaway on this pristine, adults-only sanctuary:

🎨 The Vibe: The aesthetic features earthy, boho-luxurious designs, lush landscaping, and stone-and-wood finishes throughout. 

🏖️ The Beach: Located in Costa Mujeres (north of Cancun’s main Hotel Zone), the beach is secluded, wide, and famous for having virtually zero sargassum compared to the rest of the Riviera Maya! 

🏊 Pools & Grounds: Spread out over 4 distinct pools—including two oceanfront infinity pools, a lively social pool with a swim-up bar, and a serene jungle-inspired pool. 

🍽️ Food & Drinks: Standout options across 9 restaurants! The Mexican restaurant (El Patio) features a dedicated Tequila and Mezcal cellar, and the Pan-Asian (Himitsu) has fun Teppanyaki tables.  We got this AMAZING sushi boat too!

I just got back from exploring Impression Isla Mujeres by Secrets Impression Isla Mujeres by Secrets! Here is my honest takeaway on this ultra-luxurious, boutique island paradise:

🛥️ The Arrival: Your vacation starts the second you step onto their private luxury catamaran from Cancun—complete with champagne—to whisk you across the turquoise bay right to the resort’s private dock!

🍸 The Vibe: Ultra-exclusive, quiet luxury, and boutique. Built into the cliffside with breathtaking ocean views, multi-tiered rooftop infinity pools, and personal butler service for every single room. 

🍽️ Food & Drinks: UNIK The Kitchen on the rooftop was fabulous for breakfast! Plus, top-shelf craft cocktails served everywhere from the overwater cabanas to the rooftop lounge. 

🌊 Beach & Amenities: While the beach footprint is smaller and cliffside, the water access is incredible—including tiered infinity pools, overwater daybeds, and a 4-story waterslide that drops you straight into the ocean! 

⭐ The Service: 10/10 level luxury. Personalized butler service handles everything from unpacking your bags and booking golf cart rentals to arranging hydrotherapy spa treatments. 

💑 Best For: Couples, honeymooners, and discerning travelers seeking a secluded, ultra-luxury island escape away from large mega-resorts. It’s fully handicap accessible but since it’s built into the cliffside there are a lot of stairs!

Guests don’t take the standard public ferry—you arrive in style via the resort’s dedicated private catamaran boat from the mainland.

Since it sits on the quiet southern tip of the island, the resort provides golf carts so guests can easily cruise around the island.

I just got back from exploring Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun! Secrets Maroma It was a fun quick visit but here are my top takeaways.

😎 The Vibe: I felt like the resort was relaxed, romantic, and upscale without feeling stuffy. It was fun and active during the day near the pool.

🏝️ Beach & Pools: Hands down one of the best stretches of beach in Mexico—super wide with clear, calm water. The main pool area has high energy but wasn’t too crowded where you couldn’t find a chair.

🌮 Food & Drinks: Well above average for an all-inclusive! We ate at Seaside Grill and I had a fabulous Caesar salad with shrimp that I will think about for weeks to come.

❤️ Who Is It Best For? I would say couples, honeymooners, milestone anniversary trips, or anyone who wants luxury relaxing over a wild party scene.

And a few fun facts that I learned about this resort is…

The resort is located on Maroma Beach—famous for fine, white sand that stays cool on your feet!

Their Unlimited-Luxury® concept means no clunky plastic wristbands or dining reservations needed. Just come and enjoy all that the resort has to offer.

I just spent 2 days exploring and staying at Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya ! Here is my honest takeaway on this AAA Five Diamond adults-only paradise:

🌺 The Vibe: Lush, tropical, and relaxing with a distinct boutique-resort feel. Winding pathways lead through jungle-like greenery, keeping the property feeling intimate.

🐢 Beach & Snorkeling: The calm, turquoise waters of Akumal Bay are famous for a reason—you can literally step right off the beach and snorkel with wild sea turtles in their natural habitat!

🍷 Food & Drinks: Exceptional quality across 9 dining venues. Asian and Italian are guest favorites. I dined at Oceana and had some amazing scallops.

🏊 Pools & Grounds: Features 3 main pools—including a high-energy activity pool and peaceful relaxation pools—plus 11 swim-out pool areas straight from your room.

💑 Best For: Snorkel lovers, nature enthusiasts, couples, and anyone looking for a lush, calm beach escape with top-tier food.

And a few fun facts I learned about this resort…

Akumal means “Place of the Turtles” in the Mayan language. The bay’s calm waters and sea-grass beds attract resident green sea turtles year-round.

It sits just a short ride from Yal-Ku Lagoon (a stunning freshwater-meets-saltwater cenote) and the ancient coastal Mayan Ruins of Tulum.
