In the midst of sculpting Manfred, the Gnew years Gnome, I took a bronze casting class at Millersville University. Needless to say Manfred became a part of it. I often tell groups that perhaps we can only see the elementals when we are tuned in to a higher frequency. I felt it fitting to adorn Manfred with this Amethyst quartz headpiece. He will be a part of a limited series

I thought it would be exciting to make a limited edition ceramic “Gnew Year’s Gnome” each year to bring in the year. Each gnome will share a meaningful theme and story to inspire and perhaps even guide us as a symbolic totem throughout the year. So, without further ado, I’d like to introduce you to Manfred, a peace loving soul here to inspire a more kind and connected community in 2025. Manfred is a student of nature, a quiet observer, a thoughtful listener, and an ardent supporter for the respect of all aspects of the natural world and its inhabitants. This years handmade ornaments for the candlelight program! Each year I’ve come up with different designs in different materials. Each year I think they will be easy and fast to make… hopeless optimist here 🙃. Anyway the design this years is a North Star which ties into the constellation story I will be telling.
