I started cutting Piper's hair 16/17-ish years ago [she had the cutest stacked bob ever] & I am honored to have been a part of her "hair life" ever since-her 1st hair color, 1st eyebrow wax, homecoming hair, hair for photoshoots, prom hair, & all the cuts/colors/eyebrow waxes in between. I have loved every single visit with you 🥰

one of the best parts of this job is to be able to share life moments with our clients [who become friends] such as: watching her [& her younger sister, Paisley] killing it at horse shows which I am slowly trying to understand 😅 also, learning all about their: friends, proms, vacations, tv shows, music & books we like, school, boys, homecoming, concerts, dances, & even sharing in the loss of people & pets we love [rip sweet, Wally 🐾]. I can absolutely say I love the Anderson family & not just bc Amy is Presley's veterinarian 😅

thank you to Amy & Anthony for sharing your sweet, strong, thoughtful, kind girls with me all these years. I will always have a special place in my heart for both Piper & Paisley 🥹😭🫶

in August, we had the honor of having our dear friend/past coworker, .hairgoddess, travel to fargo to teach four of us the illusion method extension technique by 💥 such a fun day with friends & learning 🩷

bilateral carpal tunnel surgery update:

first of all, I have missed each of you so, so much & am excited to see your faces again-it has been since before christmas 🤯.
I saw my surgeon this morning. I am able to return to work part-time working 4 hour days in a thumb splint for 4 weeks doing restricted motions 🎉 [not sure Presley is ready for me to leave the house-she is so dramatic 😜].
I'm showing symptoms & signs of basal joint arthritis-which is completely normal. I will be wearing a thumb splint & trying occupational therapy to help improve it. if it continues to be painful-he talked about trying cortisone shots & the last resort would be-having to get another procedure done. I will listen to his instructions to avoid another surgery 🤞
I will be going through my schedule & reaching out to some of you--to condense my days to the 4 hours until the pain gets under control.
I APPRECIATE every single one of you so very much!!! 🥺😭🥰 thank you alllll for being so kind, thoughtful, patient, caring, & understanding ❤️

loved & cherished my time at Josef's School of Hair, Skin & Body in 2001-best cosmetology school offered in the FM area ❤️ my first day was 9/11/2001-I met some of the best girls during my time there. I saw [Mr.] Josef years ago downtown-he recognized me & greeted me with a hug. but, how the heck did he remember EVERY single student-even after 20 years--what a guy. he was a warm, bright, light every time he came to the school to teach us finger waves, share old hair school stories, & share his [dad] jokes. watching him love on his wife, while she was alive, was priceless. his legacy will live on forever. thank you Josef's for giving me the passion & gift of cosmetology I have loved for over 20 years ❤️
