Curious if anyone has run into this on the BTR Trunnion upgrade kit?
The rockers are installed on a set of Brodix LS3 heads (Brand New)
Camshaft is less than .650 lift
Engine has less than 15k miles since being built.

We’ve used these and the bronze bush style for years and this is the first time I’ve seen them fail like this.

Just finished up this monster 7.1L Caterpillar 
That’s about as big as my machines will handle. lol

This isn’t something I’ve ever had to do but after this morning apparently it needs to said…..

DO NOT show up and knock on my house door on a Sunday morning.

I understand my business is at my home and I understand people will show up at all times unannounced, but if you show up on a Sunday morning don’t expect to get a nice greeting.

I often have customers ask why I charge them to grind new valves. This is a perfect example why….. they are very seldom ground on a centerless grinder like we use here, where the valve steam is turned between rollers and not mounted in a drill chuck.

Now granted this is a aftermarket OEM replacement valve for a Polaris RZR. So it’s not a high quality piece but if we can make it better we do.

Food for thought on your next budget build…..

This is why we don’t recommend “drop in” Piston and Rod kits. This 7.3 Godzilla would’ve probably ran ok as is but wouldn’t have been perfect like it will be with some weight removed in the correct locations.

Let’s us balance that rotating assembly for you before you slame it in and send it!

A couple big changes have happened in the last month at the shop. As most of you know I’ve worked the shop and a full time job at the power plant since the start of the shop in 2017. As of 2 weeks ago I’ve decided to walk away from my day job at the plant and focus just on the shop. My hope is a lot quicker turn around times for customers, branch out into a couple bigger long term projects, and more tuning.
The second big change was the purchase of a new Superflow Engine dyno. This bad boy is rated for 2500hp and we plan to try and push it in the near future with a turbocharged 388 LS we have in the shop.
Stay tuned to see it in action in the coming month or so.
