Join The Hippie with this fun evening!!

Attention!! To everyone who has ever wanted to become a Bread Head by taking a bread baking class from me, it's all happening!!!

It's been a bit of time since I've had a bread class, but I am going to begin a series of them, and you will not want to miss all of the fun!!!

I will take a limited number of Bread Heads, per class. The first one will be held on Tuesday evening, February 24th, at 6pm!! The location will be onsite, in the commercial kitchens of Cosmic Charlie/Hippie and the Farmer/and Oakview Farm Meats!!

Grab a friend, come alone, book a group for the evening!! Again, spots are limited so making your reservation, asap, is important!!

The first class will be: An Adventure In Bread Headland-An Evening With The Hippie!!

We will be working with different types of flour to show you the difference in your loaves by learning about the different flour textures!! This is NOT a sourdough class!!! You will be baking your own artisan creations!!

30.00 per Bread Head will give you an evening of fun and instruction, with two different types of dough to work with, an appetizer board, and in the end, you will take your loaves home with you!! Feel free to bring your own wine, beer, cocktails, and NA drinks!! We will spend the evening having fun with dough, enjoying each other, amazing appetizers, and clapping for everyone's works of art when we pull all of the loaves out of the ovens!!

Please call me for reservations and any questions!! All reservations MUST be made in advance before February 16th!! Don't wait, because like I said, it's limited spaces!!

Adventure....just the word stirs up all kinds of excitement, don't you agree?

If you love new adventures, you are sure to get excited over this new adventure in dining. The Hippie and the Farmer way!

This summer and fall, we are taking off on a new path!! It's been 10 years of catering for us! We have catered your weddings, your events, your private parties, your milestone celebrations, and for that we say....thank you to the moon and back!! It's been such fun to make each of your events come together in the most special of ways but now it's time to creatively and artistically take the whole show in a new direction!!

Before I go on, the events that are already booked with us, no worries!! You remain on the books with much anticipated excitement!!!

However, this summer we bring you, Friday Nights At The Farm, and we are bringing back the most asked about, Saturdays On The Farm!!!

If you remember years and years ago, we hosted those amazing brunches on Saturday mornings? Quaint outside brunch with a different menu, each Saturday!! We supply the coffee and brunch, you bring your own mimosa ingredients, Bloody Mary ingredients, or any other Saturday morning beverage you may want. No reservations, just show up, and enjoy the beauty of a slow start to your Saturday!! A flat fee will take care of your brunch order!! This became such a popular Saturday event, but as our catering schedule got more and more hectic, we had to end the fun of Saturdays On The Farm!! So, it's with much excitement to announce their return, beginning mid June!! Watch for the announcement of the first one!!

With bringing back the fun of Saturdays On The Farm, we also wanted to explore the old days of when we had Friday Nights On The Farm. It's how Pizza Farm Fridays started, but we want to put a new spin on things! Instead of Pizza Farm Fridays, we want to offer lovely intimate dinners on Friday evenings!! A menu will be posted before each Friday so that you can decide if you will make a reservation. Reservations will be limited, so I will advise you of that with each new menu week! There will be different forms of entertainment, as well. Some weeks may be a screening of a concert movie in the new theatre area at the farm. Some weeks we may tell you to bring your vinyl, and we will spin it for you! Some weeks may be an open mic night open to musicians who want to come and play for a bit. This is NOT going to be an open mic of karaoke! If you play an instrument, you are welcome to jam for a bit!

The dining will be under the twinkling nights with a menu that will come alive with the flavor explosions that we are known for!! For years we've been asked to open up a restaurant, so here is our version....relaxed private dining, in the open air, on the farm. I think we all could do with a bit of peace, harmony, and tranquility, and the farm is your perfect get away without needing to go too far!

I hope that you all will embrace this new adventure of an old idea that just kept getting pushed to the back burner, the busier we became!!

Friday nights will be by reservation/pre-paid. No last minute or walk ins accepted. And, as always, you bring your own beer, wine, cocktails, NA drinks.

Plan to start this new adventure!!! Mid June will be the kick off for both, and we are excited to bring it all to you!!

PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE A CUSTOMER AT THE ONLINE MARKET OF CHAMPAIGN LOCALLY GROWN!!!!!

Over the holiday break, something went wrong within the system, coming from the Yahoo platform, and both customer and vendors have been kicked out of the ability to receive the emails that I generate from the market. That includes ordering reminders, opening of market, closing of market, and quite possibly your order notifications.

I was able to change the vendors but I cannot help with the customer emails.

If you have a Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail email address, chances are you have had this happen.

I need you to go into the market site, log into your account, and you should see a box of Special Info. There are a series of choices, and one of them is Receives Mailings. Please check mark that box if you are a regular customer, and want the mailings. Once you place a check mark in that box, make sure you click on the green button that will say Save Special Information!!

Also, the market reopened, last night, after the holiday break, so you are able to begin ordering!

Yesterday ended our event season with the prettiest bridal shower at our own venue!

The fall color scape was the perfect vibe for this time in the season!

Last weekend's wedding was a huge party, and everyone who attended, knew the assignment😂❤️

Party Accordingly, and party, they did!

The theme was Country Chic!
The menu was Western Fiesta!

The night was non stop dancing, margaritas, and party madness!

It was so much fun to bring their culinary vision to life!

House made salsas, chicken street tacos, Barbacoa enchiladas, cilantro lime rice, jalapeno mac and cheese stuffed peppers, street corn board, guacamole board....

The bride and groom cake was from The Hippie with her Cosmic Charlie Bread Adventures

The meats were from The Farmer's Oakview Farm Meats

Other vendors that had products in so many of the dishes were:

The night was beautiful, the moon was full, the stars were many, and love was all around!
