The Geocaching Pacific Northwest Trifecta...accomplished!!
Last couple of weeks we were able to visit the location of the very first geocache and the Geocaching Headquarters! Yesterday, we concluded the trifecta by visiting the coveted "APE cache" in Washington State! This one covered approximately 6 to 7 miles (round-trip) on foot (yes...after completing this hike, Amber is going to be out of commission for a few days), where we made the trek through a 2.5 mile decommissioned railroad tunnel! It was a really cool experience, probably one of the coolest Geocaching experiences we've had so far!
This whole Trifecta experience will be an amazing memory for us for many years to come!

We got to visit the site of the world's very first Geocache! While traveling in the Pacific Northwest we thought it would be a great idea to complete the "PNW Trifecta"! One down, two to go!

Week 1: We visited Pismo Beach, Pacific Grove Lover's Point and the Big Sur!
Pismo Beach was really nice, not overly crowded and the little town surrounding the beach had a lot of cool shops to visit. One good thing about our travels, we get to set our own agenda and can visit places like this during the week (avoiding the larger weekend crowd) and not feel overwhelmed with too many people around!
Pictures do not do justice to the Big Sur! I know that sounds cliche, but in this case, it's totally true! One of the most beautiful locations in the world and I got to visit with the most beautiful woman in the world! (other than my mom and daughters!) The beach at Big Sur is off limits to peoples, so we made the scenic trip around it, making sure to stop at all the cool "photo opp" locations.
Amber Henson may have more photos of Big Sur that she can add to this later (she's currently taking a nap)!
It wouldn't be a T&A Adventures trip without some geocaching involved...so of course, we stopped and picked up a few smiley faces along the way! 🙂

After hanging out in sunny San Diego for a while, it's time for our next adventure. 🌴➡️🌲
Our route is looking pretty incredible: 📍Cruising the California coast 🌊 Exploring the beauty of Big Sur 🌲 Wandering beneath the giant Redwoods 🌿 Making our way through Oregon. Visiting Whidbey Island where Amber was born. 🏔️ Then finding ourselves in North Idaho. We're looking forward to winding coastal highways, towering forests, small-town stops, and whatever unexpected adventures find us along the way.
