Tuesday Travel Tip: Download Your Directions Before You Go! When heading out on an adventure, you can't rely completely on your cell service to get you there.

Before you leave, download your map or directions so you can still access them if you hit an area with spotty service. This is especially helpful when exploring rural areas, national parks, scenic backroads or unfamiliar destinations. And remember to save important addresses, reservation information and confirmation numbers somewhere you can access them offline, too!

A little preparation before you leave can make for a much smoother journey.

Anyone else hear this news this morning? A four year closure for the Plaza Hotel, wow!

The famous Fifth Avenue hotel, which opened in 1907, requires a restoration of its exterior, its operators said. It was not clear if residents of the building’s condos would have to leave.

Back for its 20th year, Medina County Park District’s popular annual hiking program offers participants the opportunity to enjoy the splendor of the season and earn awards by completing at least eight designated hikes between September 1 and November 30. Hikers complete the walks at their own pace and on their own schedules.
