Venice is the #1 tourist destination in California and has one of the top ten boardwalks in the US as it offers an unforgettable cultural experience! Famous Muscle Beach includes weight lifters, a skate Park, roller skaters, basketball courts, surfers and the world’s longest bike path! See artists in action at the Graffiti and poetry Walls, murals, movie locations and studios, exciting street perf
ormers-chain-saw jugglers, fire-breathers, break-dancers, acrobats, Rastafarian drummers and even guys walking on glass. From funky and bohemian to trendy and posh-there’s definitely never a dull moment here as the shops, restaurants, bars and art galleries of nearby bourgeois Abbot Kinney Boulevard-aptly named the hippest street in America by GQ Magazine. We start at the historic Venice sign on Windward Avenue and continue onto many more photo ops surrounded by amazing architecture. I love to share my knowledge of the area from hidden gems like the beautiful gardens alongside the Venice canals and walk streets to the secret speak-easies, brothels, historic landmarks and local hangouts of legends Charlie Chaplin, Jim Morrison, Arnold Schwarzennegger, Marilyn Monroe and even more celebrity homes of today. From Venice to SANTA MONICA-which National Geographic voted the Top Ten Beach Cities in the World with its famous pier and Ferris wheel where route 66 ends and the promenade begins. For a change of scenery, we can also bike south to Marina Del Rey. The world’s largest small boat craft harbor for watching sailboats, marine life and lighthouse at Fisherman’s Village. We will be bicycling for approximately 2.5 hours depending on everyone's pace for about 6 miles round-trip or however far the group would like to go. This is also a great team-building opportunity for your business, school or other group whether tourists, newcomers or local residents. Bicycles are provided and helmets if you like (they are required for those under 18). Crawl. Bar crawls are a fun way to meet people and to learn about the westside while experiencing everything from my favorite dive bars along the boardwalk to upscale rooftop restaurants with stunning views of the ocean, city and Santa Monica mountains or even Abbot Kinney’s trendy shopping area - and of course libations. All stops are structured to help you get acquainted with the area on our bar-hopping adventure of approximately 1 mile and I can attest to the fact that I am the happy hour queen! Guests must be 21 years of age and provide an ID. About me. Generations of my family are from nearby Santa Monica where I grew up hearing stories from old-timers and work out at Muscle Beach - but I've always preferred the quirky characters of the much more bohemian Venice beach next door. I have worked in the hospitality industry and have led local ecology hikes and tours for decades including the Venice Art Crawl and as Vice President for the Venice Historical Society with clients that have included Google and LA city council members. I come from a family of Native American artists and we'll see several works of art in a city that has the most murals and the most artists of any city in the world. I have been an on-air personality, have done stand-up comedy and studied TV and film production. I am an avid film buff so I can point out our many famous television and movie locations.
