Update sailing 7/14-7/15, had a SSW wind when we left the dock at 2:00 pm. We forced 4.5 knots motor-sailing against the wind. Made it to Boca Grande pass at 9:00pm and anchored for the night at 11:00 pm. We settled in and enjoyed the frequent lighting storms to our N and S. From about 1-4 am we were buffeted with 50 mph gusts, frequent cloud to water strikes and the occasional downpour. Did not sleep but a half hour at a time and it all cleared off by 4 am. Everything topside was wet.

We continued shortly before sunrise motor-sailing 5.5 knots, the water was deep enough at the South Cove cattle lock and we made it without incident at the dock by 12.
