Great sunset sail tonight aboard The Duck!!! The 20kn winds of the day laid down just in time for a comfortable sail for our guests. Thank you to Kathleen Martin & Bruce, longtime South Venice Beach Ferry friends, and their friends Mark&Judy, and Mark&Anne-Marie, visiting from ME and ID, who took the chance on the weather & wind. Mama dolphins & offspring greeted us as we came out The Jetties and back in. Despite the overcast and an imagined sunset, they were able to re-connect after not seeing each other for several years d/t COVID. Capt Randall & Crew/Capt Mac Reddy sailed the boat steady, because “After All, when you’re Drinking Claw, there ain’t No Law!!!”

I am posting this on behalf of my husband, Captain Potter. He was the most righteous, caring, hardest working man… hands down.. my hero. He was not just my hero. He was a hero to everyone that ever crossed his path. He lived his dream he loved this boat, he loved our family of clients and every person that stepped on this boat was family. They were Black Duck Family. My husband was the most honorable man that I have ever been fortunate enough to know and love and he loved me. He did everything for me he was the most amazing person I’ve ever known. I will be broken until the day we meet again. He went to sleep on Saturday and he didn’t wake up.
