Today started with family.
💛💛💛

We gathered to celebrate the life of our Uncle Gene Balsinger — Navy veteran, entrepreneur, fisherman, diver, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a longtime part of the Venice community.

There were old photographs, stories, laughter, tears and plenty of memories shared.

And somehow it feels fitting that after saying goodbye to a man who spent so much of his life around the water, the Salty Cracker will be heading back out on it tonight.

Fair winds and following seas, Uncle Gene.

We’ll think of you when we watch that Venice sun go down tonight. ❤️🤍💙

Some birthdays deserve a little saltwater.

Happy Birthday to our cousin Rick, who joined us aboard the Cracker back in April!

One of the things we love most about this boat is the memories being made aboard her—with family, friends and all the people who make life a little more fun.
