2017 SEASON TRYOUTS!!!
Tryouts for High Heat travel baseball will be held on Sunday October 23rd and October 30th at the edge sports complex.

High Heat Age 13‐18 teams will be at 4‐6 pm both days
High Heat Age 9‐12 year old teams will be from 6‐8 both days

We are still looking for coaches and open to starting new teams.
Last year we had 6 teams and we anticipate having at least that many this year.

2014 ETBO High Heat Super Bowl Fundraiser is LIVE!!!

The 2014 Super Bowl Fundraiser has officially started. This year we have a new system in place. The entire pool is hosted on the internet.

An added feature to this years fundraiser is that the pool square numbers will be different for each quarter. This should make it easier to sell squares as there will be more winners.

Also, every individual will have the ability to pick their own squares right on the website.... no more randomly assigned squares!

The cost per square is $20.

Instructions for joining the pool entitled 'ETBO High Heat Super Bowl Fundraiser'

I recently set up an online NFL Squares Pool at RunYourPool.com. If you are interested in joining the pool, please follow these steps:

1. Go to http://www.runyourpool.com/join.cfm

2. Enter the following information:
a. In the Pool ID box, enter the number 28810
b. In the Pool Password box, enter 'Bas3ball' (case sensitive without the single quotes)

3. Fill out the form information, including a personal username and password. (Rest assured, this information will NOT be sold or utilized for spam email under ANY circumstances.)

4. MOST IMPORTANT! I will need to receive an email from either you or the person buying the square stating which player gets the credit for the square if this is not clear from the last name! This should be no different than we have done in the past. Email should be sent to [email protected]
Example: Shirley Jones bought 2 squares and Billy Smith is to get credit on his account for those two squares.

5. Make your picks, with the ability to change it right up until the weekly deadline.

6. I have created 2 Boards, Board A and Board B. I will add boards after these two fill up.

ETBO High Heat Baseball Official Start!

To all ETBO High Heat Players and Parents,

We are through October and the players that participated got a lot out of the offensive skills we trained on throughout the month.

November is here and this marks the official start of ETBO High Heat baseball's Winter Training.

Last Sunday we implemented a new sign in feature through the Ipad. Those who attended learned how to sign in electronically so the we could track attendance every Sunday. I will be there Sunday to help any player who need to learn how to sign in electronically so see me in the concession before you go out on the field.

Coach Hutch is hard at work on a practice plan for Sunday and we will start on Defense and continue with Offensive training as well.

IT IS TIME TO START SCHEDULING PT!!!

PT is Personal Training, your small group training sessions. You need to schedule two every month. The schedule is up, you can view it here - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AhmU92_yuadAdEhsUlMwUmRSbzU0dmJ1RGJlR2V6Rnc&usp=sharing

To schedule your PT session please look at the spreadsheet for open times and call Aaron at The Edge and he will fill in your time slot. You can also schedule it when you come in on Sunday for practice.

Here are some important items regarding PT:

Try to schedule every other week. So if you scheduled week 1 we like to see you in week 3. It does not have to be at the same time. If you can't follow this, we understand.

You are not allowed to just "show up" for a PT session. We only allow a maximum of 6 players in a session. IF YOU JUST SHOW UP AND YOU ARE NOT ON THE SCHEDULE YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO JOIN THE PT SESSIONS. If you have to change your session for any reason you must call the concession and give them a new time after checking the schedule for availability.

Once the weekdays fill up we will open Saturdays if we need to.

Any questions regarding PT can be directed to myself or Aaron Weston at The Edge.

This Sunday I would like to have a 10 minute mandatory parents meeting at the start of each practice time for the respective age groups. It will not take long and will give us an opportunity to ask you some questions and for you to do the same with us.

We still have openings on some of the teams so if you know of a baseball player looking for a place to quality travel baseball please feel free to bring them to a practice so they can check us out.

Lastly, the World Series Poll Fundraiser was a great success for those that participated. A lot of our players earned some serious money to offset the costs of this great program, and they did it with minimal effort! There is more fundraising to come and I already see more than a few players that will completely cover the cost of ETBO through their fundraising efforts! REMEMBER - Fundraising is not mandatory. If you wish to just pay your fees and play baseball that is fine. The fundraising is there for the families that need to offset some or all of the costs of the program.

SCHOLARSHIPS - we are getting great response from the community on donating scholarships. I believe we are up to 5 or 6 as of the writing of this and more should be coming in. More on Scholarships as we get deeper into the program.

Welcome to TJ Rivera, ETBO High Heats newest trainer
