🌅🎈 What an absolutely stunning way to kick off our 2026 ballooning season! 🎈🌅

This morning marked our very first flight of the year, and Mother Nature could not have given us a more beautiful morning. Calm winds, crystal-clear skies, and breathtaking views made for an unforgettable experience high above the Finger Lakes.

There is something truly special about that first flight of the season—the excitement, the anticipation, and the reminder of why we love sharing the magic of hot air ballooning with all of you. Watching the sunrise from the basket and drifting peacefully across the landscape was simply incredible.

A huge thank you to our passengers, crew, and supporters who help make these flights possible. We are excited for another amazing season filled with unforgettable memories, incredible views, and new adventures.

Beginning this season, many of our Watkins Glen and Finger Lakes hot air balloon flights with Freedom Ballooning will launch directly from their absolutely beautiful property overlooking the heart of the Finger Lakes region.

This incredible location offers breathtaking vineyard views, rolling hills, and unforgettable scenery that makes your balloon experience even more magical. From sunrise flights over Seneca Lake to peaceful evening skies above wine country, we couldn’t ask for a better place to share these memories with our passengers.

After your flight, enjoy everything the Finger Lakes has to offer right at Idol Ridge Winery — amazing wines, stunning views, and the relaxing atmosphere that makes this region so special.

Although weather conditions and wind direction may occasionally require us to adjust launch locations for safety and the best flight experience possible, Idol Ridge Winery will serve as one of our primary Finger Lakes launch locations moving forward.

Every hot air balloon flight starts with a dream—and for Bryant, that dream turned into a passion that now brings people from all over to experience the sky.

Bryant, the pilot of Freedom Ballooning, first became fascinated with hot air balloons after seeing them float quietly across the morning sky. What started as curiosity quickly turned into a deep interest in how these incredible aircraft work. Before long, he began spending time with balloon pilots, helping crews on the ground, learning the equipment, and experiencing the teamwork that makes every flight possible.

From early morning setups to chasing balloons across the countryside, Bryant spent countless hours learning every part of ballooning. After years of dedication, training, and hands-on experience, he earned his FAA hot air balloon pilot certificate and turned that passion into Freedom Ballooning.

Today, Bryant shares that same excitement with every passenger who climbs into the basket. As both a licensed and fully insured pilot, his focus is always on safety, professionalism, and creating unforgettable memories in the sky. From peaceful sunrise flights to stunning evening views, every launch is an opportunity to experience the world from a completely new perspective.
