Today while visiting the Zakynthos Sea Turtle Rescue and Information Center, I met Bree, a volunteer and biology major from the College of Charleston, South Carolina.

We had a great conversation about conservation efforts here on Zante as well as best practices for sea turtle preservation and well-being in view of overtourism.

We could all use a reminder of the following:

🧜‍♀️Avoid going to sea turtle nesting beaches.

🧜Don't go on sea turtle sighting tours. The tours stress the turtles, including pregnant sea turtles, further jeopardizing conservation efforts.

💚 Contribute to sea turtle and wildlife conservation organizations!

A few people have asked how I pack when I travel, and since I'm leaving tomorrow for a 2-week trip to Greece, I thought this would be a great opportunity to share! 🙂 Packing light is good for the planet, so if you're not already on board, I hope this inspires you! It's easier than you think. 🌏

🌱 Photo 1: 3 compression bags containing
- 3 pairs of breezy cotton pants
- 3 pairs of shorts
- 3 casual dresses/sundresses
- A mix of t-shirts and casual tops
- Swimsuits
- Plus, my microfiber travel towel, hat, sling bag, goggles, and reusable bags for shopping, etc. My toiletry bag easily fits on the side.

🌼Photo 2: Shows my intimate apparel bag thrown on top. Stored on the top side of my bag are my black sandals, brown sandals, and water shoes.

This leaves room in my carry-on bag for any cute clothing item(s) I decide to buy on site as well as any small souvenirs! 🌟

For the trip over I wear slip-on sneakers and cotton pants and a top that I can wash and wear later. I also take a small backpack that includes my water bottle and a few other necessities! 💃
