Because the group chat has been saying "we should plan something" since January and someone needs to make it actual.
The criteria I used: properties where the design alone is worth the trip, cities with enough to do that you never feel stuck, and the kind of hotel bars and terraces that turn a pre-dinner drink into a two-hour event nobody is mad about.
