☀️ A fun few days are ahead in Cass County!

Today brings another Brown Bag Lunch in the Park to Art Zeeck Park in Beardstown from 12–1 PM with live music from the Winner/Coyle Family and pulled pork loaded nachos for just $3.

Thursday evening, downtown Beardstown stays open late for Meet Me at the Market with sidewalk sales, local vendors, shopping, and summer strolling from 5–7 PM.

Friday night, the foam GLOWS. ✨🫧 Head to Art Zeeck Park in Beardstown for a Glow Foam Party from 6–8 PM with glowing foam, Art in the Park activities, and free family fun.

Then this weekend, spend some time treasure hunting at the Chandlerville Town Wide Sales happening June 13 & 14. Maps of participating homes will be available at 201 E Illini St.

🌳 There’s just something about spending a June lunch hour in Art Zeeck Park in Beardstown. 🎶

Brown Bag Lunch in the Park is back every Wednesday this month in downtown Beardstown from 12–1 PM with live music, lunch, and a chance to slow down for an hour in the middle of the week.

This week’s Brown Bag Lunch features live music from The Winner/Coyle Family, with grilled pork chops available for lunch on-site for just $3.

Bring your coworkers, meet a friend, or grab a spot in the shade and enjoy one of our favorite summer traditions in Beardstown. ☀️

The 59th Annual Virginia Bbq returns June 5–7 with a full weekend of great food, live entertainment, family activities, rides, the parade, contests, and more.

From the Redbird 5K and Baby Contest to live music, foam party, pinfall wrestling, and raffle drawing — there’s something happening all weekend long. 🎉

It’s going to be a great weekend to be in Virginia, so come enjoy the BBQ and be sure to check out all the other fun happenings around town too! 😎☀️

☀️ June is packed with reasons to get out and explore Cass County!

🎶 Wednesdays in June, enjoy Brown Bag Lunch in the Park at Art Zeeck Park in Beardstown from 12–1 PM. Hosted by Beardstown Connect, each week features a different musical artist and a light lunch.

🍖 June 5–7, Virginia Bbq returns with a full weekend of community fun including a carnival, parade, vendors, entertainment, pageants, and plenty of barbecue. It's one of Cass County's biggest annual traditions.

🫧 June 12, bring the family to Beardstown CONNECT's June Family Friday Glow Foam Party from 6–8 PM at Art Zeeck Park, featuring glow foam fun and Art in the Park activities.

🎡 June 23–27, the Cass County Fair takes over Virginia with five days of fair favorites, including livestock shows, exhibits, entertainment, family activities, and all the classic fair food and fun that make county fair season special.

🎉 June 26–27, Ashland Summer Days returns with a parade, food vendors, live music, family entertainment, tournaments, and activities for all ages.

🍦 June 28 wraps up the month with Sundae in the Park in Beardstown, another opportunity to gather with friends, family, and neighbors and enjoy a summer day in the park.

The 46th Annual Ashland Summer Days returns June 26–27, 2026, with a weekend full of hometown fun for all ages!

This year’s celebration will feature live music from Sushi Roll, Strange Candy, and Neon Rodeo, a community parade, food vendors, a beer garden, arcade games, family entertainment, a sand volleyball tournament, Pinfall Wrestling, and contests for babies, toddlers, and Little Miss & Mister participants.
