Enjoy a delicious breakfast, celebrate 60 years in Virginia’s firehouse, and help support the department’s equipment needs before heading out to enjoy the rest of the Virginia BBQ festivities.

☀️ June is packed with reasons to get out and explore Cass County!

🎶 Wednesdays in June, enjoy Brown Bag Lunch in the Park at Art Zeeck Park in Beardstown from 12–1 PM. Hosted by Beardstown Connect, each week features a different musical artist and a light lunch.

🍖 June 5–7, Virginia Bbq returns with a full weekend of community fun including a carnival, parade, vendors, entertainment, pageants, and plenty of barbecue. It's one of Cass County's biggest annual traditions.

🫧 June 12, bring the family to Beardstown CONNECT's June Family Friday Glow Foam Party from 6–8 PM at Art Zeeck Park, featuring glow foam fun and Art in the Park activities.

🎡 June 23–27, the Cass County Fair takes over Virginia with five days of fair favorites, including livestock shows, exhibits, entertainment, family activities, and all the classic fair food and fun that make county fair season special.

🎉 June 26–27, Ashland Summer Days returns with a parade, food vendors, live music, family entertainment, tournaments, and activities for all ages.

🍦 June 28 wraps up the month with Sundae in the Park in Beardstown, another opportunity to gather with friends, family, and neighbors and enjoy a summer day in the park.

The 46th Annual Ashland Summer Days returns June 26–27, 2026, with a weekend full of hometown fun for all ages!

This year’s celebration will feature live music from Sushi Roll, Strange Candy, and Neon Rodeo, a community parade, food vendors, a beer garden, arcade games, family entertainment, a sand volleyball tournament, Pinfall Wrestling, and contests for babies, toddlers, and Little Miss & Mister participants.

Whether you’re cheering on the parade, enjoying great food and live entertainment, or spending the day with family and friends, Ashland Summer Days has something for everyone.

🎶🍔 Summer lunch breaks are about to get a lot more fun!

The return of Beardstown Connect’s Brown Bag Lunch in the Park series is just over a week away. Beginning Wednesday, June 3, enjoy live music, lunch, and time outdoors at Art Zeeck Park in Beardstown.

The season kicks off with Robert Sampson performing from 12 PM–1 PM, and lunch will be available featuring sloppy joes and chips for just $3.

Looking for a midweek break? Grab your coworkers, meet up with friends, and enjoy a relaxing lunch hour filled with local music and community spirit. It’s one more reason to get out and explore everything happening across Cass County this summer.

The 2nd Annual Chandlerville Freedom Festival is happening Saturday, May 23, from 8 AM to 4 PM at Nate’s Park.

The day will include a Memorial Day Flag Raising Ceremony, 12U Girls Softball Tournament, family fun activities, bounce houses, face painting, snow cones, food, drinks, and more. 🌟

Breakfast starts at 8 AM, family fun runs from noon to 4 PM, and all proceeds benefit Nate’s Park.

Registration begins at 7AM, with classes for 1979 & older, 1980 & newer, custom builds, and side-by-sides. Awards will be handed out around 1:00 PM.

Come enjoy great cars, good people, local vendors, food, ice cream, shopping, and a fun day on the square in Virginia.
