The fall calendar just keeps getting better in Cass County. 🍂

There’s no shortage of reasons to get out and enjoy the season around here, and here’s another date to add to yours: Chandlerville’s 12th Annual Autumn Celebration, happening Sunday, October 11.

September means it’s time to officially start putting things like this on your calendar. 🎃

Save the date for the Jack-O-Lantern Spooktacular in Virginia on Saturday, October 17! Carnival rides, games, food, spooky trails, a haunted barn and plenty more will take over Jennie Marr Dunaway Memorial Park beginning at 7 PM.

And this year, the Spooktacular is getting even bigger with carnival rides ➡️ grab a wristband for unlimited rides all evening. 👻🎡

The Halloween Parade kicks things off at 6:30 PM downtown before making its way to the park, so come early and make a whole night of it.

One last blast before fall. 🚒🍂

The Chandlerville Firefighters Association is wrapping up summer with its 5th Annual End of Summer Bash on Saturday, September 19!

Head to Duke & Joannie's from 2–6 PM for tenderloins, turkey nuts, food and drinks, with live music to follow. Bring the family, come hungry and help support the Chandlerville volunteer fire department while you’re at it.

September’s Family Friday is taking us Down on the Farm! 🐑🌾

Beardstown Connect is bringing the farm animals back to Art Zeeck Park for a FREE, hands-on evening where kids can meet, pet and learn about some four-legged (and maybe a few feathered!) friends.

Still have burgoo on the brain? Good. Because Cass County isn’t done yet. 🥣

Next up: Arenzville Burgoo, September 11 + 12!

The kettles start serving bright and early at 7 AM both days, with two days of carnival rides, the burgoo pageant, Run 4 the Goo, tractor pulls, kids’ contests and parade, frog + turtle races, live music and plenty more.

And Saturday night wraps up in a BIG way with Jax Dion at 6 PM + Andy Griggs at 8 PM! 🎶

So go ahead and mark those calendars — there’s another burgoo weekend worth a trip to Cass County coming your way.

Friday night has plenty waiting for you ➡️ food starts at 5, followed by live music, bingo, the Pig Scramble and a Glow Foam Party to round out the night!

It’s BURGOO WEEK in Chandlerville! 🙌

Three days of food, music and a whole lot of fun kick off Thursday, with everything from a glow foam party and pig scramble to live bands, bounce houses, the Burgoo Eating Contest and plenty more along the way.

And of course, Saturday morning those kettles are ready to serve. 🥣

The 71st Annual Chandlerville Burgoo, is August 20–22. Make your plans, bring your appetite and come spend some time in Chandlerville this weekend!

Save the date, Cass County! ♠️

The Beautification Committee of Virginia, is planning a Garage-to-Garage Poker Run for Saturday, September 12 from 2–5 PM, with proceeds benefiting the Historic Bandstand Restoration Project.

Make an afternoon of it in Virginia before heading to the Arenzville Burgoo! More details are coming soon, but for now 👉 get September 12 on the calendar. 🗓️
