These fish are a BLAST, the beds are comfy and the food fantastic. We walk right out the back door and into the boats!
8 wt rod, reel w/ a drag and a floating salt line. Casts are short, we sight fish and do not cast until we see the fish! The fishing guides have leaders, extra rods iAND the flies. We are in the Salt Flats at the mouth of the Mississippi. Fly into New Orleans, team up on a car rental drive 1.5 hours south to Venice, LA.

West Fork Sports Club
Exciting Fall Workday Announcement!!

Hi All, we're doing our annual fall workday at the West Fork Sports Club on Sunday October 13th from 9am-noon.

Perks of volunteering for the 2024 Fall workday:
1. FREE CAMPING Friday and Saturday night (10/11 & 10/12)!!
2. All workday volunteers will be entered into a drawing to win TWO FREE NIGHTS in the Brookie Cabin!! (valid for all of 2025 Sunday-Thursday night. Drawing will be Sunday 10/13 at 12:15pm)
3. Free lunch on Sunday at noon! We'll likely order Pizza's from Liberty but depending on planned turnout, we may get food catered in
4. You get to help make the club an even nicer place!

This is also the last weekend for WI inland trout fishing so it should be a great weekend to get your last fishing in while also supporting a great cause.

What we need help with:
1. Wrangling up all picnic tables and putting them under the shelter
2. Splitting wood (we'll have at least two wood splitters)
3. Winterizing the cabins
4. Cleaning out fire rings
5. Picking up branches and sticks
6. Filling pot holes with gravel
7. Spreading native wild flower seeds (feel free to bring some your harvested!)
8. Clearing rocks from the field walking paths
9. Tightening screws on picnic tables
10. Stacking firewood
11. protecting new trees from deer
