As summer winds down, I’m doing something I don’t do very often…I’m slowing down. ☀️

For the month of August, Road & Table will be a little quieter.

I’ll be spending the month:
🇸🇮 Exploring beautiful Slovenia
🏈 Cheering on my favorite football player (football mom life!)
📚 Getting ready for back-to-school season
❤️ Soaking up these last few weeks of summer with my family

During August, I’ll only be working with clients whose trips are already booked. If you’ve been thinking about planning your next vacation or would like a custom Road & Table itinerary, I’d love to work with you—I’ll simply add you to my September planning schedule.

Journey & Bites newsletter will also be taking a short summer break and will return during the first week of September with fresh destinations, travel inspiration, and plenty of foodie finds.

I absolutely believe a well-organized itinerary is the foundation of a great vacation. But the best itineraries don't schedule every minute of your day—they leave room to breathe.

Leave time to linger over an incredible meal.

To wander down a side street that wasn't on the map.

To stay for one more glass of wine because the conversation is too good to leave.

To spend another hour on the beach simply because you're not ready to go.

The most unforgettable trips aren't measured by how many attractions you checked off your list. They're measured by the moments you never planned.

Sometimes, the best part of your itinerary is the space between the plans.

I haven't… at least not yet. But I do have a trip to Slovenia planned next month, and I can honestly say it was inspired by one of my Wanderlust Reads book selections. It's proof that a great story can spark a real adventure.
