🚀 The Greater Waco Advanced Manufacturing Academy students in Mr. Horton’s science classes are diving into the world of engineering by designing and testing air-propelled rockets!

Through this hands-on project, students learn key concepts in physics, such as aerodynamics and propulsion. Each launch teaches them about the importance of measurement, precision, and the scientific method as they brainstorm, build, and refine their designs.

Watching their ideas take flight is truly amazing! 🌟 We’re so proud of their creativity and teamwork as they explore the wonders of science and engineering.

🌟 Exciting Learning at Kendrick Elementary School! 🌟

Mrs. Morales's fifth graders recently engaged in a hands-on STEM challenge that sparked their critical thinking and creativity! 🧠💡

In teams, they designed and built custom attachments for glowing Sphero robots using everyday materials like balloons and straws. This activity fostered collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Hands-on STEM experiences encourage students to think critically and apply their knowledge to real-world situations, building the confidence they need for future challenges.

Join us in giving a massive round of applause to Principal Erin Lange! 👏✨ She was selected as the winner of the Baylor Athletics 254 Endzone Experience! 🏈🐻

MATH MASTERS! Brook Avenue Elementary students are practicing measuring all around the room using meters and centimeters. From desk edges to giant posters, our students were super focused on finding out how long or tall things were! ✏️📚✨

This hands-on activity not only makes learning fun but also helps students develop essential skills. By measuring, they enhance their understanding of units of measurement, improve their estimation skills, and connect math concepts to the real world. Keep up the great work!

🌟 Math Champions! 🌟 Our incredible 4th graders at Brook Avenue Elementary are enhancing their addition skills! With the support of our Math Intervention Specialist, they are exploring the world of multi-digit addition.

These students are utilizing place value disks to physically engage with numbers and gain a real understanding of regrouping! By moving the disks along the place value chart, they’re combining hands-on learning with traditional techniques.

This visual approach to math helps build a strong foundation and boosts their confidence! 🎉🔢
