A paved path runs the length of the beaches fronting the Wailea hotels. At the far north end, next to the Fairmont Kea Lani, public access is though a small parking lot named "Polo Beach".

Beautiful sandy beaches line this extended path and access is generally good, but it can become crowded with hotel guests.
You can also access this path through any of the hotels, but you'll have to put up with navigating the somewhat confusing hotel properities. Of course, you could always stop for a cockail along the way.

Note: access on to the beach itself may be a challenge. Although the distance from the path to the water is not far, there are no services to help you get down to the water's edge.

Kam III is the most popular of the three Kamaole Beach Parks. It is the shortest and least wide of the beaches, but it does have the most facilities and a gigantic grassy park area. It also has a new playground and bathroom, and plenty of parking (weekends & holidays are very popular here – so parking may be limited). Equiped with an accessible ramp down to the beach, this spot has some of the easiest beach access in all of Maui. Check out the conditions in Kihei before you go:
