I remember in my early 20s, dining at The Waterfront Restaurant in the Milowai Complex in Maalaea. It was my absolute favorite spot for a quiet, romantic evening. The food was unforgettable, my favorite was their cioppino, and their pastas were simply to die for.
But what truly captivated me were the VIEWSSS, the boats sailing in and out of Maalaea Bay, the gentle shimmer of the water, the sense of peace and calmness that always filled the air. I remember always making a quiet promise to myself every single time I was there, that someday I was going to own a condo here. Years later, that dream became reality, a beautiful reminder of how the places we love can inspire the life we imagine. I’ll never forget receiving the keys as it fell on my Mama Monica’s 61st birthday, a joyful, meaningful moment that made stepping into a new chapter even more special.
And yet, over time, I realized that sometimes we outgrow our first dreams. The condo that once felt like EVERYTHING will now become the foundation for even bigger dreams, new adventures, and the next chapters of a life that keeps expanding.
Now, we’re passing this special place on to new dreamers, someone else who will fall in love with the views, the peace, and the magic of Maalaea Bay, and perhaps, make it the start of their own dreams.
