Ever wondered how cacao nibs are separated from the husk? A winnower! Before I had this mighty machine, I used a hair dryer and manually rocked a bowl of nibs and husks blowing them all over the floor. Made a mess. Inventions can save time so long as it doesn’t reduce quality. We still load the machines one scoop at a time by hand and for now, that’s just how we like it. Small. Intentional. From the heart. ♥️

So many delicious creations have transpired from and for Valentine’s Day, we paired up Chef Jess’s dynamic range with our cacao and chocolates for an evening that was so dreamy and mind blowing. Thank you Chef!! ✨🫶🏼 If you’re a local chef looking for something unique to offer your guests, let’s chat :) I had so much fun connecting with guests, sharing about cacao and chocolate and seeing their reactions as they learned of the infinite possibilities that lay before them in pairing cacao and chocolate with so many different types of flavors and textures.

From a childhood spark to a mission infused dream, grateful for every step of th journey and the relationships with the earth, its people and the chocolate that we get to make and enjoy! Do you like these recaps? So much has happened in the past 5 and ten years, honestly my head has been spinning. Feels like the eruption of 2018 was a turning point and life has been shifting toward this direction we’re heading now. Prepared chocolate macadamia nut cups for a wedding(!!) Returned to the pop up scene to share our hot chocolates made with 100% pure cacao. 🕊️ Continuing to make small batch chocolate from organically grown, single estate cacao beans grown here in Hawai’i. Seasonal limited batches. We’re catching up on back orders, (thank you!!) and preparing to launch presale for Valentine’s Day Online Tasting. Going to be a blast!!
