Little Riders Car Seat Education and Distribution

Ensuring the safety of children during transportation is paramount. Milestones collaborates with insurance companies to provide car seat education and distribution programs to families in Region 7W. These initiatives aim to educate parents and caregivers on the correct installation and usage of car seats, thereby reducing the risk of injury in the event of an accident.

According to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, proper use of car seats can reduce the risk of fatal injury by 71% for infants and by 54% for toddlers in passenger cars. Despite these statistics, misuse of car seats remains a significant issue.

Through targeted educational workshops and distribution events, Milestones addresses this gap by providing hands-on training and resources to families, ensuring that children are secured safely during travel.

By leveraging new partnerships and streamlining program delivery, Milestones is ensuring that more children are protected on the road.

We showed up to learn more about the ALICE population in our community and celebrate our partnership with United Way of Central Minnesota through their Annual Meeting and Celebration!

They did a wonderful honoring of Dolly Parton and led us on a journey many families in Central MN are on.
