Tropical Sunrise was able to participate as part of the Great Plains Balloon Club's christmas glow for Topeka on Saturday evening. Winds were too fast at 4 but dropped off perfect for a nice glow.

Wow, after a little rest I have to say it was an amazing 9 days in Albuquerque at the Balloon Fiesta! 4 great dawn patrol shows! 3 greats dawn patrol flights! 3 beautiful night glows! 4 Awesome mass flights! 7 flights total! Went 11/12 on events this year! Already counting down the days until 2018!

Its been a fantastic 4 days for Huff 'n Puff Topeka! Started with a media flight last Thursday morning flying and interviewing with a local radio station and TV station. Friday morning was a morning static with Student Jim Marlow and interview with our sponsor TV station. Had a nice Flight Friday evening with WIBW Chris Fisher and his son to Billard Airport. Saturday morning was a great fun flight with great landowners securing more green areas for the future. Saturday evening was our biggest challenge, winds on surface worked out for a nice static, we attempted to try tether rides but winds didn't allow. Sunday morning was the best of all with a great flight including and splash n dash in lake Shawnee and flight to Billard airport, including getting permission to buzz the control tower, followed by a touch and go on the runway, then landing near my same landing location as Friday evening! Thanks to everyone involved especially my crew, who make all this possible!

Home from a fun weekend in Longview, TX! Weather was not on our side to inflate shapes Saturday evening or Sunday morning. Was still a fun weekend and great to see everyone, already looking forward to next year!! Hear is a view you don't get to see everyday:

1. Puddles, sponsored by Austin Bank, will be at the Austin Bank Oak Forest location on West Loop 281.
2. Coco the Clown, sponsored by Plasson, will be at 3531 N. Eastman Rd. near UT Tyler Longview University Center.
3. Buzzy Bee, sponsored by Whataburger of East Texas, will be next to Whataburger at West Loop 281 and HG Moseley Pkwy across from Lear Park Athletic Complex.
4. Jack in the Box, sponsored by Walmart, will be at the Walmart Supercenter South at 4006 Estes Pkwy.
5. Yellow Bird, sponsored by East Texas Charter School, will be at the corner of First St. and Whaley St. next to Texas Bank & Trust Drive Thru.
6. Puddy Cat, sponsored by Buffco Production, Inc., will be at LeTourneau University at 2100 S. Mobberly Ave.
7. Spyder Pig, sponsored by R & H Machine will be at the corner of Spur 63 and US Hwy 31 at the future site of the The Green.
8. Ladybug Annie, sponsored by Charles Tomberlain Insurance Agency, will be at Brookshire's on Gilmer Rd. and Hawkins Pkwy.

If you can't catch them Friday morning, be sure and attend one of the The Great Texas Balloon Race Balloon Glows on Friday or Saturday nights.
