so... in Savannah there's the alcohol prohibition museum ... and at night they also have a cocktail making class... omg so much fun.

we love groups and meeting people. we seem to end up in funny and deep convos with all different cultures.... that may or may not have something to do with me being a therapist (i've been working on that 🥰🤣). but we learn so much from others and have so much fun...you'd be amazed that some of our adventures are because of our connections with strangers.

anyways .... this experience was one for the books!

one thing about us is we love learning!! give us history and all the placards!

also, in my heart i want to be a bartender too... i get excited thinking about the science of it all... the math... but my husband ain't really for it so... there's that.... but who knows ... maybe !!

i love reflecting ... and reminiscing ...

last year's anniversary was during one of the darkest periods of my life. Rather you realize it or not, how you are impacted individually can affect your relationship.

A lot of marriages don't survive loss, transitons, trauma, and grief etc. It's work.

it's individual work. it's couple's work.
it is work.

through it all we still dated.
had difficult conversations...
we still celebrated.
we were intentional about connecting ...

as i reflect on it all... those intentions allow interruptions of grief or whatever was going on.... allows the sun to shine thru.

we are each other's sun & we make it a point to face toward each other instead of running away.

i'm grateful and

and we still.

last year, we took a train to Savannah, Georgia to celebrate our anniversary ...

i remember when people would ask us, so what y'all doing for y'all anniversary

oh we're catching a train to Savannah georgia (and if you know me, you know i was amped and excited saying it)

people: ahhh oh. a train... (they started talking about exotic vacations... etc.)

that moment taught me that people won't always get our adventures ... as they may seem mundane to others but we will carry on.

the memories we create ...are unmatched ...
the stories we tell ...
like that ghost tour in savannah lol omg ... our tour guide was on one ... with those teeth lol
