REAL ID

Beginning May 7, 2025, every air traveler 18 years of age and older will need a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or another acceptable form of ID to fly within the United States.

All U.S. airport checkpoints will require every traveler to present a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license, or another acceptable form of identification. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is reminding travelers of the new requirement, beginning May 7, 2025, through a recently launched public awareness campaign.
