Swimming in warm waters without the crowds. Figs are in season! White washed hill towns and ancient olive trees. Massarias with fabulous pools. Ceramics. Cheese. Ancient bread. Biking to underground mosaics. Mountains and the warmest and friendliest locals!

Love the Cinque Terre?

Grapes and Heroes campaign goes live on Indiegogo a week from tomorrow! February 14th! If you’ve been to the Cinque Terre in Italy, you know how special this region is. Steep hillsides plummet to the Ligurian Sea. The hillsides are terraced with dry stone walls which form a skeleton, providing strength and stability to a region prone to landslides. Safeguarding the 5 villages below. The winemakers are the only people responsible for maintaining these walls. Days upon days of heavy rain this past fall has left many in need of repair. The cost of repair is massive. “Like” our campaign page to follow along and participate! We’ve got fabulous “perks” to thank you for your contributions! We’ll be LIVE for just 40 days. Feb 14-March 25.

I am incredibly proud of this video. It epitomizes and captures the essence of our Grapes & Heroes social action campaign and crowdfunding effort. Quickly relaying the beauty of the Cinque Terre .... as well as its vulnerability. And the critical role that the wine growers play in ensuring its very existence.
