Think of this as a informational, informative, teaching, lesson on my views of sheepshead fishing. First off, I love it more than any type of fishing ive ever done, i can fish for 8hrs worth of charter trips dog dead tired and still go back out solo to enjoy the thrill of that so light bite, then the 2 seconds of excitement on that hookset and screaming drag. To anyone who says its easy fishing is a plain Jane idiot... easy fishing is tossing out a anchor and slapping cut bait on a hook. Sheepshead fishing you have to go rake sand fleas at night after you've fished all day (buying $6 4oz packs dont count) then when you get home at 11pm you have to bag them in trip appropriate quantities of either half or full quart bags(quality freezer bags not cheep sandwich bags) so the fleas dont poke holes in bags and they dont get freezer burnt. You have to put boots on and go ramble through the snake infested marsh getting pounded by mosquitoes and noseeums, while getting poked in the face by sharp reed grass almost everytime you bend over gathering fiddler crabs. you have to spend time gathering other types of crabs/clams/muscles just to be able to go....
Then you have to be willing to tare the front of your expensive vessel up beating a bridge piling, or tracking gummy pelican and bird p**p into your nice boat. You have to hand wind 100' 3/4" wet heavy rope multiple times while pulling on a 6500lb boat agents the current moving pilings, you dont get to just throw a fish in the cooler and say good job, you have to get your clients a good picture with thier prized fish they are extremely happy about in the moment because you dont want pictures of them after they have been on ice and loosing thier beautiful colors. golds, blues, purples... I like to fish a extremely light drag, keep your hand OFF the handle, let the fish run, stop dragging them to the top. First couple pics should be self explanatory as to why most people hook nice fish and pull them off.....I see it so many times in a day people next to me look like they are pulling on Moby dick and popping fish off, first pic should help yall out, study it.....

Frankie Hailey and Danny thos morning, we found the big spades but had a hard time getting em to hang out up top, did shoot one fatty with the rifle, found a few nice triggers and hit the sheeps to finish up, little slow thos mornin but we had a beautiful morning, and came home with dinner! Pretty work yall. See ya again soon😉
