The Tren Maya is officially rolling! This brand new train goes throughout the entire Yucatan Peninsula and will be a great way to get around smoothly and visit lesser known places that have been harder to reach. Right now only one route from Cancun to Campeche is open, but this is perfect for those wanting to explore Merida, a beautiful colonial city which happens to be the safest city in Mexico! Next month all the routes are supposed to be complete, which will give you access to many more on and off the beaten path spots in Mexico and avoid the busy highway.

It's Wellness Wednesday!
If you are a wellness lover, you need to know about the incredible and luxurious Hotel Esencia. Their rooftop wellness suites have a private fitness studio off the master bedroom which includes either the virtual personal trainer The Mirror, or a personal Peloton bicycle, TRX suspension training equipment, or a Technogym treadmill upon request (treadmill set up charges apply). All private fitness studios also include yoga mats, and a personal Technogym weight set, as well as a large double bathtub or steam room/shower with the hotel's own blend of essential oils and aromatherapy. One more level up is a rooftop terrace with a private heated pool and solarium.
