💪More than 1,200 students from 32 GLOW-region school districts are expected at the Genesee County Fairgrounds on September 29.

GLOW With Your Hands replaces the ordinary career-fair brochure with real experiences. Students can operate equipment, use workplace tools, complete hands-on activities, and speak directly with professionals representing agriculture, advanced manufacturing, construction, skilled trades, transportation, food processing, engineering, public service, and college and workforce pathways.

More than 70 employers, educational institutions, and workforce partners are expected to participate.

Organizers say the initiative has connected more than 6,000 students with local opportunities since 2019.

🐠🐟Bass Pro Shops is hiring approximately 150 full-time and part-time employees for its new Victor location.

Open roles include:

* Retail management and team leads
* Sales Outfitters
* Cashier and customer service positions
* Inventory and overnight stocking
* Visual merchandising
* Archery and outdoor-specialty roles
* Boat and ATV sales
* Marine service, parts, rigging, detailing, and yard positions

The approximately 90,000-square-foot store is taking over the former Lord & Taylor location. It will be Bass Pro’s fifth New York store and is expected to feature aquariums, wildlife displays, and an Upstate outdoor theme.

The grand-opening date has not been announced.

There is a reason families keep coming back to the The Genesee County Fair Batavia, NY year after year.

It is not just rides and fair food. It is agriculture, animals, 4-H, local families, vendors, competitions, and that classic summer fairground energy that has been part of Genesee County for generations.

This year, admission includes daily entertainment throughout the week, including:👇

Air Sculpture balloon creations
Rosaire’s Royal Racers pig races
Fame Racing radio-controlled car racing
Livestock exhibits and 4-H shows
Fair food, rides, vendors, and family attractions

That is what makes events like this worth paying attention to. They are not just things to do. They are part of the local fabric, and the best parts are often the ones you did not even know to look for.
