Hart Island, off the NW corner of the Bronx, is NYC’s potters field. Accessible via a ferry from city island.
It was an Interesting tour with nyc park rangers, organized by there are about 850,000 interred on the island. Many are Poor, indigent, unclaimed, unidentified. Visits are now arranged there thru The days of Rikers Island prisoners doing the burials there, ended in 2019.
