Disney Cruise Line’s early booking period for Castaway Club members is wrapping up — and yes, some of the rare, highly sought-after late 2027 and early 2028 itineraries moved FAST.
But here’s the important part:

🚢 DISNEY CRUISE LINE UPDATE: PLATINUM BOOKING IS LIVE!
Today, Platinum Castaway Club members get their turn to book Disney Cruise Line’s new Fall 2027–Spring 2028 itineraries — along with eligible Golden Oak and Walt Disney World Club 33 members.
And Pearl booking day already gave us our first BIG demand signal. 👀
The hottest cruise itinerary – the 12-night westbound Transatlantic itinerary on the Disney Wish. For this itinerary, Concierge staterooms were sold out almost immediately – and there are only a handful of staterooms still available.
That doesn’t mean everything is going to sell out.
But it DOES reinforce something I tell my clients every itinerary release:
Rare itinerary + limited inventory + a ship people really want = BOOK EARLY.
But also – if you don’t get what you want, keep watching. For MOST staterooms, your Disney Cruise Line deposit is fully refundable up until your pay in full date, so… things change. (We are talking about itineraries that don’t even start until mid-May 2027 – eight months away.)

🚢 DISNEY CRUISE LINE’S NEW ITINERARIES ARE HERE — and there’s a LOT to talk about.

Disney Cruise Line has released its late 2027 and early 2028 itineraries, and this may be one of the more interesting itinerary releases we’ve seen in a while.

🗽 Disney Cruise Line is returning to New York! The Disney Wish will sail from NYC in fall 2027, including cruises to Bermuda, Canada and New England.

But New York is only part of the story.

There is a LOT of movement around the Disney Cruise Line fleet — ships shifting between Port Canaveral, Fort Lauderdale, San Juan, Galveston, San Diego and New York — plus some different itineraries and longer voyages we haven't seen recently.

A few things that caught our attention:

⚓ The Disney Wish sailing from New York
🏝️ More opportunities to sail from San Juan
🌴 New combinations of Caribbean and Bahamian itineraries

🚨‼️👉🚢 New DCL itineraries are coming - and the BIG APPLE IS CALLING!
Disney Cruise Line just dropped a major teaser today with the subject line, "Let's coordinate to meet back up tomorrow for a big announcement…" and it lists coordinates...
WHAT WE KNOW AND WHAT WE THINK: Indications point to some highly anticipated itineraries releasing TOMORROW! And it seems that New York City will be among the departure ports.
Based on the coordinates listed in their latest hint, we are seeing some expected fan-favorite home ports like Port Canaveral, Fort Lauderdale's Port Everglades, San Diego, and even Galveston.
But the biggest rumor seemingly confirmed? It looks like Disney Cruise Line may be officially returning to New York City for the first time since 2012 - and even farther back for actual itineraries! 🍎✨
🗽 DCL and NYC go way back. The Disney Fantasy was christened there in 2012. Disney Treasure in 2024. Disney Magic has sailed in and out 68 times. Disney Dream, 9 times. (H/T )
On top of that, they dropped the coordinates for San Juan, Puerto Rico... what could that mean? (Southern Caribbean sailings? Repositioning cruises? A new home port?) We'll find out soon!

One of the most meaningful moments from my recent sailing on the Disney Wish had nothing to do with a show, a restaurant, even a port of call - or even my birthday 🎂 😉

It was getting to meet Captain Maria Gotor — Disney Cruise Line’s first female captain. ⚓️✨

I told Captain Maria how genuinely thrilled I was to see a woman finally in this role at Disney Cruise Line — but also that part of me was disappointed it had taken this long.

Her response gave me some perspective. There simply aren’t that many opportunities to become captain of a cruise ship, and historically there have been even fewer women in the profession positioned to move into those roles.

Captain Maria’s own journey is pretty remarkable. She began her career as a lawyer in Spain. A chance visit to the wheelhouse of a ferry crossing the Strait of Gibraltar changed everything. She went back to school to study nautical engineering and maritime navigation, eventually began piloting that very same ferry, entered the cruise industry in 2009 and joined Disney Cruise Line in 2024.

Today, she’s at the helm of the Disney Wish.

But my favorite part of this story happened when my nieces got to meet her. ❤️

Watching their faces as they met the Captain was wonderful.

Watching them realize that the Captain was a woman was even better.

They were impressed. They were excited. And for them, there wasn’t anything unusual about seeing a woman commanding one of Disney Cruise Line’s ships.

And you realize that moments like this matter.

Representation isn’t just about celebrating the person who broke through. It’s about the kids watching who suddenly see another possibility for themselves.

Congratulations, Captain Maria. I’m incredibly glad my nieces got to meet you — and I’m pretty glad I did, too. ⚓️

🚢 We’re starting to BELIEVE! ✨

Disney Cruise Line just revealed new details about the Disney Believe, setting sail in late 2027 — and we finally have our first real look at what will make this ship unique.

🌊 Moana will inspire the Grand Hall, featuring a bronze statue of Moana with Pua and Heihei.

🤠 Woody & Buzz Lightyear will appear on the stern, using giant yellow crayons to write the Disney Believe’s name.

✨ Tinker Bell will grace the bow, surrounded by silhouettes of Peter Pan, Wendy, Captain Hook and more.

And Disney says experiences aboard will draw inspiration from Encanto, Frozen, Snow White, Moana and The Little Mermaid.

The theme tying it all together? Belief — in magic, family, nature and yourself. ❤️

The Disney Believe is coming in late 2027…and we’re finally beginning to see what Disney has planned.
