Big things are brewing at the Yards! 🌊🍺
The fishing community asked, and we answered. We are thrilled to announce the Grand Opening of the DC Tackle Shop on Saturday, May 9th! Located right next to the Marina Office and Fish the Potomac Charters, we’re more than just a bait shop. We’re building a space where you can gear up for your next big catch and then wind down with a drink on our waterfront patio.

We’ve got a massive day planned to kick off the season:

Fishing Report: The Season is Sizzling! 🚤☀️
We’ve had some incredible action north of the Key Bridge lately! Captain Tim just got back from a great trip where everyone on board caught their fill. With water temps rising to 58 degrees and air temps hitting 80! The catfish are definitely awake and hungry!
Pro-Tip: If you’re heading out, remember to be patient. We spent about 45 minutes in one spot before the action really took off—persistence pays off!

Opening the DC Tackle Shop has been an incredible adventure so far, and we’re sweating the small stuff so you don’t have to. Right now, Captain Tim is hunting down the best source for live American Eels.
We’ve seen some huge differences in quality lately (take a look at the size difference in the tank! 😲), and we want to make sure we’re providing only the best bait for your days on the Potomac.
We need your local expertise! If you know a reliable source for nice-sized American Eels, let us know in the comments. We’d be forever in your debt!
