National Aging and Disability Transportation Center  NADTC NADTC promotes accessible transportation for older adults and people with disabilities. NADTC is a cooperative agreement of USAging, Easterseals and the U.S.

The National Aging and Disability Transportation Center (NADTC) promotes the availability and accessibility of transportation options that meet the needs of older adults, people with disabilities, and caregivers. The mission of NADTC is to:

--Serve professionals in the fields of transportation, aging, disability, human services, and caregiving.
--Provide resources, training, and information throu

gh an information and referral hotline, website, as well as both distance and online training.
--Empower communities across the country to implement or improve innovative transportation programs at the local level.
--Support older adults, people with disabilities of all ages, and their families to help them find the best mobility options in their communities to reach their destinations of choice. On March 26, the 6th Bi-Annual Summit on Aging, Independence and Transportation brought together more than 150 human service and health professionals, advocates, caregivers and community members in Buffalo, NY. Hosted by Western New York Independent Living, the Summit served as a vital platform for exploring best practices that support aging in place and ensure people with disabilities and older adults can thrive with dignity and independence.

NADTC’s Assistant Director, Melissa Gray, delivered the luncheon keynote session, “The Road to Independence: Rethinking Transportation for Aging with Dignity and Choice.” Her insights emphasized how accessible transportation is fundamental to supporting choice, independence and community living as we age.
