The famous cherry trees around the Tidal Basin in Washington DC were a gift from Japan in 1912. They signal our nation’s capital city's beginning of spring with an explosion of life and colour that surrounds the Tidal Basin in a sea of pale pink and white blossoms. This is the first year we have visited DC at Peak Bloom and what a sight it was to behold!
