Quick trip St. Pete beach (30 min from tampa)
Hotel Zamora (Mediterranean boutique hotel)
Great vibes, beach is across the street, watch the sunset from the roof top view, pool is partially covered sets the mood, the hotel decor was nice, hotel resturant had great food for the European or Mediterranean palet.
This hotel is definitely a hidden gem and was perfect for my self care mecation to focus on me and recharge my mind, body, and soul. One bedroom spa suite with the Waterview and tub view from the bedroom makes the trip extra sexy.

Then you can visit downtown st. Petersburg or the New built Pier with the family. Great restaurants on the pier to choose from. Very chill location to consider for any staycation of your choice.

I definitely enjoyed sightseeing in D.C. I flew into Maryland cheaper flight and then took the Marc train over to DC. ($7 pp one way). Easy commute...all sightseeing was free

The Smithsonian african american museum was free and overload phenomenal.

Highly recommend 2 days at the museum. One day doing the 1st 3 floors below the bldg. It takes you all the way back in time summarizing the slave trade, Emmett Till, segregation, plantation workers, and black history transitioning (good and bad) to today, etc.

Then spend another day taking a tour through the upper levels of the museum. Just way to much to see and take in all in one day. The the circulator bus which is a dollar runs in front of the museum and will take you to all of the memorials and other museum's.
The only resturant in the museum (Sweet Home Cafe) is awesome, very tasty....highly recommend but buy only what you can consume...you cant leave with any food from the resturant

Miami Spice 2019. This week I choose Zuma Miami. An international contemporary modern Japanese cuisine located in the Kimpton Epic Hotel. I enjoyed a 4 course meal mixture of sushi, japanese herbs, well seasoned burst of flavors while dining on the Miami river.

Great place to enjoy family time or socializing with friends. The scenery is bright, and relaxing.
Every dish was executed perfectly especially the roasted corn in shishumu butter/ herbs And the octopus in a lime creamy sauce mixed with ginger teriyaki, potatoes, and pickled tomatoes.
