Another round of tours with some awesome students from Nashville & Chicago! A great time with some wonderful beautiful young souls. I wish I cold share photos of them, but they all wouldn’t fit in the photos! 😋 Also found so many new favorite paintings. I can almost hear the whisper of silk or birds in the garden.. oh! The last one is by Berthe Morisot, entitled “In the Dinning Room”.

As a Tour Director of students, I occasionally find myself in these situation, where a young person needs to be reminded of these things. That they are valuable, powerful, capable, strong, beautiful, and is the one who can allow or prevent inferiors from effect them (thanks Mrs. Elenor Roosevelt). This last month, a student permitted me to reminder them of these important things. I hope they remember them, because it’s absolutely true, for everyone. Thank you for allowing me in, sharing, and trusting me. It’s not misplaced. I wish I could tell this to each student who doubts themselves individually.

It finally happened. It was only a matter of time as a Tour Director. My coach/bus broke down.. on the grapevine.. with 38 7th & 8th graders.. when 2 belts came clean off the engine. CHP was called to protect us from on coming traffic. Woke my boss in the middle of the night. Second coach took 2 hours to meet us after my fantastic “Rosie the Rivietter” driver made multiple attempts to fix the engine herself. I was supposed to drop off students at 9:15. They got returned to their parents at... wait for it... 1 AM. These were the cliffnotes

Over all, went as smooth as a problem could have went. Happy to be done with that now. I go “me-me” now.

Tour Director/Guide Life: When someone asks “what’s your major?” (1st off, yay, they ask me when they think I’m young enough to still be in college) and you say “Cultural Anthropology” and after some thought, it’s actually spot on. Oooh yeah!

Been 8 of the 30. Who has the kinda cash flow to hit all 30 before 30?? I’m a avid traveler and optimist, but Seriously! Change that age to 40 and possibly you might get somewhere.
