Tomorrow is the day that Traveling Koalas returns to South America for the first time in over three years. The last trip we went on, we visited the mystical large heads of Easter Island, drank wine in Santiago, Chile, ate bistec in Buenos Aires, and ventured to the amazing Iguasu Falls! This will be Laidey's First trip south of the equator...and we are excited to tour Colombia before it gets overly commercialized. The people are warm and the food will be tasty! We will experience the high altitudes of the Andes in Bogota, the hospitality of Medellin and the sun and sand in historic Cartegena.
I'm pretty sure my spanish still works and we are looking forward to Laidey making new friends in another corner of the globe.

The countdown is on...one week away from Laidey's first trip south of the equator. This will be her third continent and her eighth country. We will be starting in Bogota with high elevations and cool temperatures, then heading downhill a tad to Medellin, before ending up at sunny sea level in the historic paradise of Cartagena. Looking forward to some site seeing, eating and speaking spanish again. We do love South America!
