The US Tourism office organized a tour for six Travel Advisors who traveled to Zimbabwe for the Sanganai/Hlanganani/Dzimbahwe World Tourism Expo. The business expo was held from 9-12 September in Masvingo attracting international buyers from around the world.
The buyers conducted a pre tour to experience destination Zimbabwe firsthand, engage with local suppliers and enhance their product knowledge.The agents participating in the tour serve the luxury US-Canadian market and four of them were recruited during the North America roadshow conducted across the US and Canada.
The tour began in Victoria Falls, where the agents enjoyed a sunset cruise along the mighty Zambezi river, conducted a game drive within the national park and toured the majestic Victoria Falls and visited various facilities for site inspections to better appreciate the product offerings.
One of the agents from Canada, Primeview Travel mentioned that they were impressed by the quality of accommodation offerings they visited, the safari which is a much sought after experience in Canada and US.Another agent from SunClub Vacations noted that this pre-tour and engagements conducted so far will equip them with knowledge to package the destination for their clients.

We are pleased to share about our participation in the North America roadshow held across 6 US cities- Atlanta, Georgia; Chicago, Washington, D.C.; New York, San Francisco; Denver and 2 in Canada -Toronto and Vancouver.

During the roadshow, the Tourism Attaché representing Zimbabwe delivered a comprehensive destination presentation highlighting the country’s diverse tourism offerings, programs for Travel Advisors that include destination training, educational trips and the upcoming Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo to be held in Masvingo from 9-12 September.

We are delighted to share that 6Agents will be participating in this year’s tourism expo and enjoy a famtrip that will cover the majestic Victoria Falls, Hwange National Park and the Great Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe proudly represented its rich culture at the Africa Day Celebrations held at the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art in Washington, D.C. on June 3, 2026.
The event drew attendees from across the DC area, offering the Zimbabwe stand a platform to promote tourism and business opportunities. The reception featured Zimbabwe's unique products, including Mazoe drink and mapfura w**e, which received great acclaim. This celebration highlighted Zimbabwe's vibrant heritage and its potential for international collaboration.

Highlights from Zimbabwe’s participation at Passport DC Around the World Tour !!!!🇿🇼🇿🇼

The Embassy of Zimbabwe in Washington, DC took part in the Passport DC Around the World Tour on 02 May 2026 joining 78 other Embassies in this year's edition. Visitors to the Chancery were entertained by a DJ playing Zimbabwean music and sharing interesting facts about the country. As they entered the Chancery, guests presented their souvenir passports for stamping.

The Tourism Attaché engaged with guests at the cultural exhibition showcasing Zimbabwe's diverse tourism attractions, cultural displays, and traditions, complemented by a destination video.
The exhibition also featured a trade and investment section and a cuisine sampling area, as well as a Victoria Falls backdrop banner for photo opportunities.

Many visitors were excited to learn more about the country, play the traditional musical instruments ( mbira and hosho) .The event successfully showcased Zimbabwe as a premier destination.

The Embassy implements the adage to catch them young with great success.

A memorable moment unfolded this morning as students from Watkins Elementary School visited the Chancery to gain insight into the destination that is Zimbabwe. This educational visit forms part of the Embassy Adoption Program, where the Zimbabwean mission in Washington DC collaborated with Watkins Elementary School to deliver presentations on Zimbabwe's rich history, heritage, and culture.

Upon arrival, the students presented their booklet passports for stamping, affording them a tangible Welcome to Zimbabwe experience. Interacting with these young learners was truly delightful, and their enthusiasm to visit Zimbabwe in the future is heartening.

Today we celebrate freedom and the essence of our rich heritage and cultural tapestry, marvel at the iconic Matobo National Park, a designated UNESCO world heritage site, with its rolling hills and breathtaking landscapes and pristine wildlife that make Zimbabwe the World Number One Must-Visit Destination in 2025 by Forbes Magazine and Destination of the Year for Natural Wonders in 2026 by the Pacific Area Travel Writers Association.

The Tourism Attaché in Washington, D.C. partnered with ThingstodoDC to host the second edition of the Experience Zimbabwe Culture night at the Mission on 18 March 2026.The event attracted participants from various backgrounds including young professionals interested in exploring destination Zimbabwe. The success of this event underscores the strong relationships the Tourism Attaché had developed in the USA, representing a significant milestone in the ongoing collaboration with ThingstodoDC.

The culture night featured an exhibition showcasing Zimbabwe’s history, culture, artifacts and tourism information. The Tourism Attaché actively engaged with participants, encouraging them to visit and experience Zimbabwe.

Ambassador David.D Hamadziripi welcomed all attendees and gifted most of the visitors with our national fabric, a gesture that highlights the importance of cultural exchange and appreciation.

Attendees were treated to a Zimbabwean cuisine and traditional marimba and mbira music, with some joining the dance floor. Of great interest was one guest , who shared her remarkable experiences from her visit to Zimbabwe, inspiring others to travel to the country. In her speech, she highlighted how she was impressed by the magnificent Victoria falls and most importantly the hospitality of the Zimbabwean people which made her visit incredible.The event successfully showcased destination Zimbabwe and fostered interest among attendees to visit the country.
