Linguistic diversity is a key feature of our global society.
The digital revolution has made it more affordable and efficient to integrate multiple languages into learning environments through digital resources.
Yet many learners, especially those from marginalized or migrant communities, still face barriers to quality education in the languages they understand. Migration โ both internal and international โ is shaping ever more linguistically diverse classrooms, bringing new opportunities for connection and creativity alongside real challenges for inclusion.
On International , UNESCO spotlights the role of youth in shaping the future of languages. They are reclaiming, using, and passing on their mother languages, keeping them alive across generations.
When young people can learn and participate in languages they understand โ including Indigenous and minority languages โ education becomes more inclusive, dialogue grows stronger, and their voices are truly heard.
