ATTENTION ALL HORTONS........... As we know everyone wont be able to attend this great event the entire time, we hope those who can will, and those who do get here attend as much as they can. We also know whereas, everyone will not know one another, we're hoping to find some kind of links to each other. PLEASE PLEASE...PLEASE Don't stress the color of the skin. It's the BLOOD THAT COUNTS, so I'm hoping to see all shades of skin color, including Smurf blue. Pass this info on to all POTENTIAL family members you know as well as those you DO know. As of now this is the itinerary of intent, however, there may be some tweaks and twerks to be mad, as needed. Also, please bring the family history you know as far back as you can (bring Xerox copies), if we are lucky, there may be a genealogist there to help us re-root many trees, and hopefully these trees will become a complete grove. I'm excited about the possibilities and hope you are to. For those who can make it, I'm truly looking forward to meeting those I Have never officially met before, and reuniting with those I do know. For those of you who can't make it, please feel free to in-box me so we can get what info you do have VIA electronic means and I will personally represent your family history. Alright now all us HORTONS and HORTON CLANS............ Durham area is already full of HORTONS, let's try to GREATLY increase the number of us that are there for this week coming up in April.................. April 25th, my arrival in Durham, NC! Do Not Disturb--meeting with George
26th--Horton cousins meet and greet! 9 am
27th---Guided tour to Horton plantation, 11 am, Horton family tour, only family members 1pm. I have arranged 2 tours, so that we as a family can learn and reflect on what we saw and learned!
28th-Horton family meeting directed by George Horton to discuss our lineage and connections!
29th-- Sightseeing, bonding time as a family!
Family cookout tba! Since no one in the family donated for transportation, there will be a charge that covers transportation to and from the plantation!
